A very good morning to our headmaster, teachers and friends.

On this
morning, I am going to give a talk on If I were a King.
I am a normal child, born in a middle-class family. My life is simple, but I
cannot say that I am unhappy. But, if one day, Ah! I were a king!
In the first place, i would take all steps to do away with poverty. I would
make sure there is no lack of life-food, clothing and shelter. I would also have
plans for the improvement of national health. Then my people would be happy
and healthy.
If I were King, I would become a wise tax-collector. After keeping a
reasonable tax, I would have spent the money for the welfare of my subjects. I
will build new roads, bridges, schools and hospitals which would be used by my
subjects.
As a king, I would have no desire to expand my kingdom. I would not go
for a war with any other country. I would try to maintain good relation with my
neighbouring countries. As an ideal king, I would do anything that is necessary
for the welfare of my kingdom.
