Ascendant degrees:

There is a prime importance given to the degree of the rising sign. What
most people fail to see is their degree of ascendant or rising sign. Even
houses have degrees. The 1st house i.e. the ascendant rising sign can be
between 0 to 29:59:59 degrees, and if there is any planet sitting between 3
degrees of the ascendant degrees then that planet will have the greatest
impact in the life. This is known as 'The source point'. Planet sitting close to
the degrees of the ascendant will be the major source of the happiness and
sorrow. This effect will be observed, especially during their time period
known as 'Mahadasha and Antar Dasha respectively.
