education. It is important for the instructors to maintain a high level of efficiency in order

In this article there is an explanation of why nurses not only be knowledgeable in nursing skills
but they must also become educated in information technology. The technology can improve
quality of care, reduce costs and errors and can allow for easy access to healthcare information. I

the basic fact of stressing the importance of IT in nursing.

simulation experience. Technology as it relates to education can be e-books, instant access to
medications and diagnosis. This all leads to better and faster information to overall help the

patient. It is related to other sources in general discussing technology. I will use it as an example
of what is currently changing in nursing education.

as technology and how it relates to nursing. The title which incorporates essentials, tells us that it
is one of the basic necessities when we discuss nursing in our society today. Not only must
nurses know the hands on skills, but knowing the IT skills is imperative as well. I will use this
book as a basic tool to support my topic and how it relates to technology today.

is unavoidable and will continue to flourish and while nurses must keep up to date, always
remember the patient is what is most important. This article is a little different than other articles
but the basis is the advances we must learn today. I will use it as a supporting article for keeping
up on technology advances.
