In a swearing-in chart, as per my understanding, we have to consider as under:
The time when the chief minister takes oath means to be a birth of government. Each bhava
indicates each portfolio. For example tenth cusp indicates CM, second cusp indicate finance
minister, third cusp indicate transport minister etc. This is my pure open idea and maybe I
am wrong in this thinking, time will tell us what will be the outcome and how my thinking
works. In this article I have used 5 year compressed Vimshotarri dasa using 360 days.
Before I analyze the chart, I want to give some basic information.

Now I will try to analyze the Sri Lankan precedent Maithripala Sirisenas swearing-in chart.

First we check the longevity of this government.
Hints
Rule 1: If the cuspal sub lord of the Asc. be the significator of the house 6 or 8 or 12 the life
is short (about 33 years). If the cuspal sub lord of the Asc. be the significator of the house 1
or 5 or 9 or 10 the life is long (about more than 66 years). If the cuspal sub lord of the Asc.
be the significator of the house 6 or 8 or 12 and 1 or 5 or 9 or 10, the life is medium (about
66 years). But if the cuspal sub lord of the Asc. be the significator of the Badhaka and
Maraka houses with the above mentioned houses, it is not good for the longevity. If the
cuspal joint rulers (the sign lord, star lord and sub lord) of the Asc. or the 8th cusp be the
significators of the Badhaka and Maraka houses, their joint period is very critical for life. In
the short life case within 33 years, in the medium life case within 66 years and in the long
life case above 66 years, also check the 3rd and 8th cusps too.
Badhaka bhava is more danger than Maraka bhava. So when we are checking about the
longevity first check the Badhaka bhava and then Maraka bhava.
Rule 2: If the cuspal sub lord of the Asc. be the significator of the Badhaka and Maraka
houses, the life is short. If the cuspal joint rulers (the sign lord, star lord and sub lord) of
the Asc. or the 8th cusp be the significators of the Badhaka and Maraka houses, their joint
period is very critical for life.
1st cusp (Gemini 280.41'.22): The sub lord of the 1st cusp is Venus. Venus is in the star
of Moon and sub of Rahu. Venus is occupant of 7, owner of 11. Star lord Moon is occupant
of 2, owner of 2. Sub lord Rahu is occupant of 3. No planet is in the star of Rahu and Rau is
CSL of 11. Rahu is aspected by Mars. Mars is occupant of 8, owner of 5. Thus 1st cusp sub
lord Venus signifies 2(Maraka) and is connected with 7(Badhaka)-11-3-8-5. The indication
of medium longevity is found by 2(Maraka), 7(Badhaka) and positive bhavas 3-5-11.
My opinion: Longevity of this Government is Medium, say about 4 years.
Joint Period
At the time of judgment the Maithripala Sirisenas government is running Dasa of Ketu till
14-01-2015. Today is 28-01-2015, so we will check next dasa Venus from 14-01-2015 to 14
-01-2016.
We have discussed about Venus above which indicates more positive bhavas.
Next dasa will be Sun from 14-01-2016 to 02-05-2016.
Ascendant cusp sub lord indicates about 4 years longevity, so we will check dasa during
2019.
At that time dasa running will be Saturn and Mercury.
Dasa Saturn runs from 20-11-2018 to 01-11-2019.
Saturn is in the star of own and sub of Ketu. Saturn is occupant of 5, owner of 8-9. Sub
lord Ketu is occupant of 9. Ketu is aspected by Jupiter. Jupiter is occupant of 2(Maraka),

owner of 6-7(Badhaka)-10. Thus Dasa lord Saturn signifies 5-8-9 and is connected with 9-2
-6-7-10. Negative bhavas are 2-7, and positive bhavas are 5-9.
Next dasa Mercury runs from 01-11-2019 to 08-01-2020.
Mercury is in the star of Moon and sub of Rahu. Mercury is occupant of 7, owner of 1-4-12.
Star lord Moon is occupant of 2, owner of 2. Sub lord Rahu is occupant of 3. No planet is in
the star of Rahu and Rau is CSL of 11. Rahu is aspected by Mars. Mars is occupant of 8,
owner of 5. Thus Dasa lord Mercury signifies 2(Maraka) and is connected with 7-1-4-12-311-8-5. 2-7 are negative bhavas and positive bhavas are 1-5-11.
My opinion: If Maithripala Sirisenas government survives during the period of 20-11-2018
to 01-11-2019, he will complete his term, otherwise during this time end of his government
is sure.
2nd house:
Maithripala Sirisenas governments financial improvement.
Hint:
Level of wealth:
1) No wealth
If 2nd (Money), signifies 5(12 th from 6th Daily income), 8(Financial Loss, income of
opponent) ,12(Loss).
2) Some Wealth
If 2nd (Money/Income), signifies 5(12th from 6th Daily income), 8(Financial Loss, income of
opponent) ,12(Loss) along with 2(Income), 6 (Daily income), 11 (Gain).
3) Enormous Wealth
If 2nd (Income), Signifies 2(Income), 6 (Daily income), 10 (Profession/Status), 11 (Gain). AND
NOT CONNECTED TO 5 (12th from 6th Daily income), 8(Financial Loss, income to
opponent), 12(Loss).
2nd cusp (Cancer 260.34'.13): The sub lord of the 2nd cusp is Jupiter. Jupiter is in the star
of Mercury and sub of own. Jupiter is occupant of 2, owner of 6-7-10. No planet is in the
stars of Jupiter and Jupiter is CSL of 2-8. Star lord Mercury is occupant of 7, owner of 1-412. Thus 2nd cusp sub lord Jupiter signifies 7-1-4-12 and connected with 2-6-7-10-8 .
1) 2nd CSL does not signify only 5,12,8. Thus condition of no wealth is not applied in this
case.
2) 2nd CSL signifies only 2, 6 and 8, 12 indicate some wealth.
3) 2nd CSL does not signify only 6 and is connected with 5. So enormous wealth condition is
not applied in this case.
My Opinion: As people have a great hope from Maithripala Sirisena, but we have not found
the 2nd cusp sub lord indication of good financial condition/improvement, as per this
swearing chart, so he will do his best but not get success.
10th house:
Maithripala Sirisenas governments success as a president.
Hint:
If 10th (ones position in politics) cusp sub lord signifies 10 (ones reputation), 3 (ones
ability), 11 (ones reputation as a winner) in the DBA of the significators of 3, 10, 11, then
success is assured.

Moon reveals the nature of query

Moon (Scorpio 05-33-17) is in star of Saturn and sub of Mercury. Planet Moon is the
occupant of 10, owner of 7. Star lord Saturn is the occupant of 10, owner of 1. Sublord
Mercury is the occupant of 12, owner of 6 and 8.
Moon clearly indicates what the querent carries herself in its mind. Here the significance of
1-10 negates the houses 2-11 which are required for a child birth and the significance of
6-8-12 is not good for a normal delivery. As Moon is connected with 2 by Jupiters aspect
the querent herself possesses a feeble chance towards the birth of a child.
Cuspal analysis
5th Cusp (Taurus 29-35-59): The 5th CSL Saturn is in star of Self (Saturn) and sub of
Venus. Planet Saturn is the occupant of 10, owner of 1. Starlord Saturn is the occupant of
10, owner of 1. Sublord Venus is the occupant of 12, owner of 4-5-9.
Thus, 5th CSL Saturn is posited in sub of a planet i.e. Venus that feebly signifies 5. It
indicates child birth is promised. But in fact only a feeble chance is indicated due to the
following reasons:
5th CSL and its starlord both is Saturn. Saturn is a termed as delayed & restricted
planet as well as a natural malefic planet for child birth. Saturn signifies the houses
1-10 and therefore negates the houses 2-11 which is required for a child birth.
5th CSL Saturn is in sub of Venus. Venus is in Capricorn neither fruitful nor barren.
Venus signifies the houses 12 which is not good for a safe and normal delivery. Venus is
untenanted and the owner of 5th cusp. Venus is aspected by Jupiter (karaka for child
birth) who is the lord of 2nd cusp. A feeble chance of child birth is indicated but it should
turns to be negative as Jupiter is retrograde in chart. Moreover Venus is aspected by
Saturn who signifies the houses 1-10 and therefore negates the houses 2-11 which is
required for a child birth.
5th CSL Saturn is in sub of Venus. Venus is aspected by Saturn and signifies the houses
12. It indicates there may be complication in case of a child birth. There may a chance of
abortion or miscarriage.
The Dasha Lord is Saturn (up to 16-11-2030). As discussed, Saturn is not favorable for a
child birth. Bhukti Lord is Mercury (up to 29-07-2017). Mercury signifies the houses 6-8-10
-4 and not favorable for child birth. Moreover due to 6-8 in Mercury Bhukti, no chance is
indicated for a normal and safe delivery.
My Opinion: There is a feeble chance of caesarean child birth without a normal delivery but
also a chance of abortion or miscarriage.
Actual Fact: Prediction comes true. On 27-01-2014, miscarriage happened.

Timeline
1. 13th February 1935: born at Natmauk, a township in Magwe district, central Myanmar;
2. 1932 (Ra-Ju/ Dasa-Bhukti): matriculated in A category with distinctions in Myanmar
and Pali, and went to study at Rangoon University;
3. 1935 (Ra-Sa) - 1936 (Ra-Me): elected to the executive committee of the Rangoon University Students Union and became the editor of the Student Union Magazine;
4. February 1936 (Ra-Me-Me/ Dasa-Bhukti-Antra): expelled from the university for publication of the article Hell Hound at Large in the student union magazine . Expulsion of Ko
Aung San and Ko Nu from the university led to the university strike. Later the government
conceded strikers demands and retracted expulsion orders;
5. 1938 (Ra-Me): elected as the president of the Rangoon University Students Union as
well as the All Burma Students Union; appointed as a student representative in Rangoon
University Act Amendment Committee by the government. His honesty, single-mindedness
and capacity for work earned him much respect. Yet he was a difficult personality, being
criticized for his untidiness, devastating fits of silence, and his angular behavior.
6. October 1938 (Ra-Ke-Su/ Dasa-Bhukti-Antra): joined Dohbama Asi-ayone (WeBurmese Organization) after he had left university;
7. 1938 (Ra-Ke)- August 1940 (Ra-Ve-Ma): acted as general secretary of Dohbama Asiayone;
8. 1938-39 (Ra-Ke): countrywide strikes known as Revolution of Year 1300 (Myanmar calendar year)
9. March 1940 (Ra-Ve-Mo): attended Indian National Congress Assembly in India;
10.August 1940 (Ra-Ve-Ma): left for Amoy in China where he was approached by a Japanese agent; later in November 1940 he went to Tokyo, Japan;
11.February 1941 (Ra-Ve-Ju): came back to Burma with offer of arms and money support
from the Japanese for uprising;
12.March 1941 (Ra-Ve-Ju): As a result of trip to Tokyo in 1940, thirty Burmese men
known as Thirty Comrades, smuggled out of the country to have a strenuous military
training by Japanese, on Hainan Island, arriving in Tokyo in March and then in Hainan in
April for stay of 8 months. He emerged as the unmistakable leader of great skill and courage.

state, Myanmar;
30.April 1947 (Ju-Ju-Ve-Sa): AFPFL won 196 of 202 seats in the election for a constituent
assembly;
31.13th July 1947 (Ju-Ju-Mo-Ra): gave last public speech urging Myanmar people to mend
their ways and urge them for more discipline;
32.19th July 1947 (Ju-Ju-Mo-Ju): independence hero Bogyoke Aung San was assassinated
by a rival faction during the Executive Council meeting at the Secretariat together with six
other Councilors; U Saw, a former Prime Minister, was found guikty and executed;
4th January 1948 ( Ju-Ju-Ra-Ve): although Bogyoke Aung San had died, the independence
to which he had dedicated his life came to his country, and Myanmar regained its independence.

Leadership Ability, Political Power, and Fame
The leadership abilities, political power and fame are to be judged primarily by the 1st and
10th houses.
1st CSL lord Saturn, as discussed above signifies 1 (self effort), 3 (ability, courage), 5
(intelligence), 10 (authority, honor, fame), 11 (success).

"The prognosis does not look good for Bobbi Kristina Brown. The daughter of Bobby Brown
and the late Whitney Houston was found unconscious and face down in a bathtub on
Saturday, and doctors have allegedly told family members that there's little they can do to
save her life.
Fox News reports: Bobby Brown requests privacy while his daughter is in the hospital
"It's now a matter of when the family wants to let go and accept that she's pretty much not
going to make it," a source told Fox News. "[Doctors] have left it up to the family as to how long
they want to keep her alive."
Bobby Kristina Brown comes from a noted American family, who is the daughter of Bobby
Brown and Whitney Elizabeth Houston (August 9, 1963 February 11, 2012) an
American singer, actress, producer, and model. In 2009, Guinness World Records cited her
as the most awarded female actress of all time. She was found unconscious and face down
in a bathtub on Saturday the 31st Jan. 2015 and doctors have allegedly told family members that there's little they can do to save her life. This tragedy is same as her mother's end,
who died by falling and submerged in a bathtub at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on 11 Feb.
2012.
The issue is of course about a struggle for life and death. With the blessing for the survival
of this girl, I had tried to see her longevity and survival through horary and natal analysis

Whenever any individual referring to the natal chart asks about his or her marriage, we will
be checking the 7th cusp sub lord and its connection with 2, 7 and 11th houses.
2nd house speaks about ones family, 7th house denotes marriage bonding and 11th house
indicates permanent friendship between the couple. And in this regard K.P. rule says that if
the 7th cusp sub lord is the significator of houses of 2 or 7 or 11, we say that the marriage
is promised for the said individual.
Sometimes one may be denied of marriage in spite of the ones willingness. In such cases we
may have to check the connections to the negative houses of the event marriage that is 1, 6
and 10. And the K.P. rule for denial of marriage says that(1) If a planet is the significator of the 7th house and happens to be the strong and sole significator of 6th house, it will not give marriage. Even if marriage takes place in such conditions, the couple will not stay together.
(2)if the 7th cusp sub lord is not at all connected with 2,7 or 11 houses either directly or
through the stars of the significator and is connected with 1 or 6 or 10 houses- then the
marriage may not take place at all and it is considered as marriage denial.
With these above rules of K.P on marriage denial, I would like to discuss the chart of an individual who is denied of marriage in spite of the natives interest.

Analysis of the chart:
7th cusp sub lord is Saturn+. No planet is deposited in Saturns stars and so Saturn signifies 7th house.
Saturn is the lord of 7-8 and 9 placed in 10. It is in the star of Ketu and sub of Saturn.
The star lord Ketu is placed in house 2. Ketu represents Sun and Mars. Sun is the lord of 3
placed in 4, and Mars is the lord of 5 and 10 placed in 7. So the 7th cusp sub lord Saturn
signifies 2, 7, 8, 9 and 10 at both levels.
Hence as per K.P. rule the 7th cusp sub lord Saturn+ signifies 2-7 the relevant houses for
marriage and we will be tempted to conclude that the native will be promised of the marriage.
But the actual fact is that the native remained unmarried till date and also took to the path
of spirituality.
Then a doubt will arise in our mind as to why it is so and what are the factors that lead to
negation of the fructification of the event marriage.
The best and suitable answer for this could be found in the careful study of the K.P. system
and its rules.
Basically K.P. system is the K.P. Sub lord theory.
In the words of Sri K.S.K. .therefore constellation lord shows whom or which matter

References for consideration of the SUBwhen the majority of the planets are connected
with the houses 2, 7 & 11- select the useful significator who agree with the ruling planets at
the time of judgment. If a planet is in such a position that its sub lord is connected with the
houses 2, 7 & 11, then the planet is useful. But if the SUBLORD is the lord of the negative
houses 1, 6 & 10 and is the significator of 12 houses, then the marriage can not take
place. (K.P Reader IV page 118).
Hence the planet is the SOURCE, constellation indicates the nature of the result and SUB
LORD is the deciding factor whether the matter is favorable or not.- This is the ultimate
rule of the K.P SUB LORD theory.
Further it is said by Sri TIN WIN in his article on DOUBLE ROLE OF THE SUB AS THE DECIDER AS WELL AS INDICATOR in our K.P E zine (Sep 2014 page 10)-as mentioned in
the above points 8, 9, the star lord significator of 2, 7, or 11 does not mean favorable outcome of the marriage matter depending on the positive or negative significator of the SUB.
As a conclusive proof He said it is to consider the significator of a planet, whether a cusp
sub lord or a D/B/A/S lord at a three step of a planet, its star and sub cautiously keeping
in mind that the sub lord plays the double role of a decider in choosing fruit full significator
as well as event indicator, which can make the event happen without the signification of
the required houses by the planet and star lord.
Keeping in mind of the above rules, now let me look afresh at the significator of the 7th cusp
sub lord Saturn in the given chart.
The sub lord of the 7th cusp who is also Saturn+ strongly signifies 1 and 10 negative houses for 2 and 11 and also signifies 12 another negative house by its 3rd aspect. From this
negative signification of the sub lord, it has become clear as to why the event did not materialize. Apart from this, Saturn+ is also the sub lord of the 2nd, 11th and 1st cusps (other
relevant houses for marriage) and added their support to the negation of the individuals
marriage.
When we look at the Dasa analysis the Dasa lords also did not cooperate.
Dasa lord Rahu extends from Aug 1981 to Aug 1999(prime period for marriage). Rahu a
separative planet is placed in 8th house. Rahu is in Saturn sign, Jupiter star and Mercury
sub. The STL Jupiter signifies 6 and 4 and the SBL Mercury signifies 12 and 4. As such the
Dasa lord Rahu at all levels did not cooperate to give the event and denied the marriage to
the native.
The next Dasa lord Jupiter extending from Aug1999 to Aug 2015 also will not cooperate.
Jupiter is in the sign of Venus, Star of Mars and Sub of Mercury. STL Mars is the lord of 5
and 10 in 7th and SBL Mercury is the lord of 12 in 4th. Hence the Dasa lord Jupiter even
though at its star level (Mars) signifies 7 and 5, as its sub lord Mercury+ (decider of the
event) signifies 4 and 12 and thus negates the marriage. Apart from this, the final Bukthi
lord of Rahu in Jupiter Dasa which extends from March 2013 to August 2015 also strongly
signifies negative houses only and thus it will not cooperate.
How nice is the sub lord theory of K.P system which helps to unearth the secrets of the astrological chart, when an important issue like marriage poses a problem of dilemma for an
astrologer in answering it to an individual who comes with a fond hope. My head bows with
all the regard at the feet of an astrology king Sri K. S. Krishnamurthy who propounded such

In this article I would like to share with our readers a case of a person who wanted to know
if there is any chance for him to go to overseas. He handed over his birth chart in the month
of October 2007 with the following birth details:
Name: Mr.Prasad
Birth details:
DOB: 26 MARCH 1971, TOB:14:58 Hrs ,POB:TENALI (16 N 15, 80 E 35)
Before going into analysis of the chart, let us examine the Rules in KP System for a foreign
travel as follows:
A. The houses which indicate Foreign Travel are 12, 3, 9. 12th house indicates foreign travel
or living in a foreign country. 3rd house indicates change of place ie,12th to 4th house. 9th
house indicates long journey and far off place.
B. According to KP, 12th Cusp Sublord should signify houses 3 or 9 or 12 for a foreign
travel.
C. If the 12th Cusp Sublord or its star lord is posited in a movable sign it indicates that one
will go abroad and settle there and move on to other countries, but will not return to native country.
D. If the 12th Cusp Sublord or its star lord is posited in a fixed sign, he will go there and
settle down there permanently; he will not come back to his native country.
E. If the 12th Cusp Sublord or its star lord is posited in dual or common sign, he will go
there, stay there for some time and comes back to his native country and settles down
finally.
Mr.Prasad was working for a private company as a software professional. His Lagna is Karkataka ie, Cancer. In the month of October 2007 when he asked the question about foreign

Foreign Travel Promise: check from 12th Cusp Sublord:
In his chart it was found that the 10th and 12th Cusp Sublord was Mercury. Mercury is lord
of 3, 12 houses and is posited in 9th house in its own star, in a common sign Pisces. Hence
it can be said there is promise of foreign travel. Moreover 10th Cusp Sublord is Mercury and

The present Dasa Lord is Ketu. Ketu is posited in 1st house in the sign of Moon who is posited in 8th house being the lord of 1st house. Ketu is in star of Mercury (9-3,12). Ketu is posited in sub of Saturn, the lord of 8th house. Hence Ketu is well connected to houses 3, 9,12
and 1, 8.
The Bhukti and Antara Lord Jupiter is posited in 4th house and is lord of houses 6, 9. Jupiter is posited in the star of Saturn who is posited in 10th houses being the lord of houses 7,
8. Jupiter is in sub of Rahu, where Rahu is posited in7th house. Hence the Bhukti lord Jupiter is a significator of houses 4, 6, 9, 10, 7, 8. Jupiter at the same time is the strong significator of 4th house because there are no planets in the stars of Jupiter. Hence the bhukti
of Jupiter was weak to give a foreign travel.
The next Bhukti is of Saturn. Saturn is posited in 10th house and is lord of 7, 8 houses. Saturn is posited in the star of Venus where Venus is lord of houses 4, 11, Hence Saturn which
is a significator of houses 4, 11, 10, 7, 8 is weak to give a foreign travel.
The next Bhukti is of Mercury. Mercury as mentioned above is a very strong significator of
houses 3, 9, 12. Mercury is in sub of Saturn. Saturn is lord of 8th house.
Timing the Foreign Travel:
Hence it was decided that in the conjoined period of Ketu Dasa, Mercury Bhukti there shall
be foreign travel. Jupiter being 6th and 9th lord and aspecting Mercury can bring foreign
travel in its Antara. The planets Sun and Moon have positional status in 8th house, hence
these are detrimental for a staying in abroad. The planet Mars is not a strong significator of
3, 9, 12 houses because Mars being 5, 10th lord is in 5th house in the star of Venus the 4,
11th lord. Hence Mars is a weak significator of houses 3, 9, 12. Rahu is having positional
status in 7th house and represents the 8th house and hence Rahu is also weak to give a foreign travel. Thus planet Jupiter is selected for Antara because it is lord of 9th house. Hence
it was told to Mr Prasad that foreign travel will materialize in the DBA of KETU-MERC-JUP
during 23rd May 2010 and 10th July 2010, and as Antara lord Jupiter the lord of 6th house
aspecting the 12th cusp sublord Mercury, it was also told to him that purpose of visit will be
due to professional matters. Also it was told to him that the foreign stay will be with hardships as both the Dasa lord Ketu and Bhukti lord Mercury are in the sub of Saturn where
Saturn the lord of 10, 8 is detrimental to 9th house.
TRANSIT:
The DBA of KETU-MERC-MERC was not selected because Ketu during its Transit was still
in the sign of Moon and has not yet reached the sign of Mercury as on 1st November 2009
on which date the Antara of Mercury will be over. The Foreign travel took place on the night

of 29th May 2010 when Ketu was in Mercury sign, Mars the 10th lord was in Ketu star, Moon
the 1st lord was in Ketu star.
ACTUAL OUTCOME:
As the Dasa lord Ketu was also a significator of houses 1,8 as well it was told to the native
that there shall be hard ships in abroad because 8th house is a negation house to 9th house
which represents far off place. The native went to abroad on the night of 29 May 2010 (for
professional purpose) and faced hardships at foreign place and returned back in July 2010
when Saturn the 8th lords Antara was operating. Also the 12th cusp sublord Mercury during
its bhukti period made the native to return back because it was in a dual sign. The following Dasa from September 2010 onwards was of Venus who is lord of 4,11 and hence the native remained in the mother land.

friend asked me, Can you justify/tally the natives entry into job by Krishnamurthy Paddhathi? I said to him, Why not? I can justify and prove the K.P. is correct. The chart is
erected in K. P. method for applying the K. P. rules. It is also herewith enclosed at the end
of this article for the benefit of the readers.
Rule for Earning:- If the cuspal sub lord of the 6th (Service) or 10th (profession, vocation,
occupation) be the significator of 2, 6 or 10 service or earning is promised during the joint
period of the significators of 2, 6 and 10.
2nd = bank balance, self-acquisition, 6th = service rendered, day to day attendance on duty
and thereby earning, 10th =profession, either in independent vocation or in service.
In this natal chart, Rahu is not only the cuspal sub lord of 6th but also the cuspal sub lord
of 10th. Rahu (3) is in the star of Rahu(3) and in the sub of Moon(9-12). My friend (S. Sreenivasulu) told immediately that there is no signification of 2, 6 or 10. So your K.P. failed in
this matter. Then I asked him to wait for some time tilI I will explain every thing to him.

Rahu and Ketu are nodes. They are always stronger than the planets represented by
them. They give firstly the results of the planet or planets with which they are conjoined, then the results of the planets aspecting them, then that of the planets in
whose constellation they are deposited, and then the results of the owner of the sign
occupied by them.
In this natal chart, Rahu is conjoined with Mars (3-4,9). Immediately my friend pointed out
that there is no signification of 2,6,10. Then I replied, Please observe the Sookshma
(weak) significators, i.e. aspects of Mars. Every one of us immediately concentrate
only on sthoola (strong) significators. It is our duty to have a look on Sookshma significators also while judging a matter.
Mars is aspecting 6th and 10th with his 4th and 8th special aspects. This is sookshma. Next
Rahu is aspected by Moon and Saturn. Moon, having no planets in its stars holding the sub
lordship of 2nd cusp is a strong significator for 2nd house. Saturn is the lord of 6th. Thus 2,
6, 10 are signified by Rahu. So K.P. rule is cent percent implemented in this case.

After seeing the above mentioned table my friend questioned me, It is written in the astrological magazine that the native of this horoscope got the job during the period of Sun/
Venus/Jupiter. (1) Sun, the dasanatha and (2) Venus, the bhukthinatha are only appearing
in the above table of significators. But (3) Jupiter, the Anthranatha is not seen in the above
table of significators. Then how did you justify/tally the Dasanatha, Bhukthinatha, and Anthranatha?"
Then I asked him to observe once again the SOOKSHMA significators (weak significators) in this regard also. Jupiter closely conjoined with Venus lord of 10 is clearly visible/
seen as the significators of X. Thus it is tallied in Krishnamurthy Paddhathi.
NOTE: - Every one of us should consider SOOKSHMA significators (weak significators) by
aspect/ conjunction along with STHOOLA significators (strong significators) while judging a
matter to get the accurate results in K. P.

Question 1: Planet near the House Cusp

Sir, In your series on KP For Beginners it is written that ORB for planet conjunction with a
cusp is 3degrees 20 min and it was also said if the planet is behind the Cusp by 1or 2degrees and if in the next cusp if there is no planet(Vacant) then this planet will give the next
Cusp results. What I understand is the ORB duration is taken as 3degrees 20min and in KP
Reader-1,Guruji KSK has mentioned the ORB for conjunction of any planet with the cusp is
8 degrees .Can you please explain this ? Can we take 8degrees as ORB?
Answer 1:
Regarding a planet near the house cusp, the KP had experienced the results of the next
house when a planet is located very close to the next cusp, as given by the following two examples:
As Moon @ 21 30 Gemini is very near the 12th cusp, it indicates life in a foreign place,
and Moon is considered as posited in the 12th house, although it is physically posited in
11th house. (Krishnamurti Padhdhati Vol. 2, 1965, Sagar Publications, p 281)
Rahu @ Libra 13 09 posited in 10th house physically but very near the 11th cusp @
15 39 Libra within 2 30orb gives marriage, which is the result of 11th house, although Rahu is physically located in 10th house. (KP Reader IV, 1971 Edition, page 108)
If a planet within 1 or 2 behind the cusp of a house and no other planet in the following
house, gains the significance of the following house, e.g. Jupiter gains significance of the
6th house and loses signification of the 5th house where Jupiter actually located since
there is no planet in the 6th house. This is T. Rajendra Kumars experience found in KP &
Astrology Year Book 2000 & 2003 and The Times of Astrology.
The closer an orb is, the stronger the result will be. For instance, a planet within 5 or 6 of
the next cusp may signify the previous cusp. If the planet within 1 or 2, having the same
sub-lord of the next cusp, may signify the next cusp. (K. Subramanium; Astrology for Beginner, Vol. 3)

For conjunction of Sun, Moon and other planets with the cusp of a house, an orb of 8 degrees is to be uniformly applied. (KP Reader I, page 116). This is a general statement of orb
in explaining the Western aspects.
According to Claudius Ptolemy (Tetrabiblos) and William Lilly (Christian Astrology), when a
planet is within 5 degrees of the next cusp, the planet is supposed already in the next
house.
The 3 20 is mostly applied orb in conjunction of a planet with the next house cusp.
Question 2: Placidus House System
Sir, if suppose a cusp starts in Aries and ends in Taurus (placidus system) why the Venus
does not have lordship of the cusp if CUSP ON ARIES Starts at 29degrees and 30 Min? Why
Guruji KSK has taken Placidus system which is a western method and integrated it with
Hindu Zodiac? Are there any charts in which Placidus House system works for Higher latitudes like 50degrees North? Please clarify my doubt.

Answer 2:
Rasi chart and cusp chart: As shown in the following KP example chart, the South Indian
rasi chart gives the relative rasi positions with boundary lines of rasi after rasi of Hindu
zodiac for correct use of rasi-based Hindu aspects. By inserting the Placidus cusps and
placing the planets in the houses, the house-based chart denotes the correct occupation
and lordship of planets in finding KP significators.
The lord of a cusp is the lord of rasi where the cusp falls. In the above example chart, both
the 5th and 6th cusps fall in Sagittarius rasi whose lord is Jupiter. So the lord of both the 5th
and 6th cusps is Jupiter. The 7th cusps lord is Moon as this cusp falls in Cancer rasi. No
cusp falls in Leo rasi, and so its lord Sun is not the lord of any cusp. The blank Leo sign
without any cusp falling is called the intercepted sign.
If a cusp starts in Aries @ 29 30 and ends in Taurus, the lord of the cusp is Mars. Because
the cusp falls in Aries whose lord is Mars. Venus does not have lordship of the cusp as the
cusp does not fall in Taurus whose lord is Venus. This is the result of applying the unequal
Placidus house system.
Three pillars of KP system are the Hindu zodiac, Western Placidus house system and
Vimshottari dasa. Placidus house system had been applied because it was the most popular
Western house system at the time when KP was invented as Placidus works.
According to "Recent Advances in Natal Astrology", compiled by Geoffrey Dean, p 168, in the
USA about 80% of individuals who seek help from astrologers show a preference for the system of Placidus. . .In addition, 90% of individuals who refer to online horoscopes prefer the
system of Placidus.
Regarding the polar charts, there are two views. As the system be applicable anywhere on
Earth, Placidus is unsatisfactory, for example, at 70 N it is possible to have some houses
spread across 3 or 4 signs while others are only 2-3 degree wide. The other accepts the
shortcomings, as Davison has said, you can play many good tunes on a piano whose top is
defective; hence Placidus is satisfactory. If one has a client out of about one million people
living in polar regions, the Topocentric house system seems to provide a solution.

Sir, Please clarify my doubt.
1. For example, in a horoscope of Makara lagna, the XIth & XIIth bhavas fallen in Dhanu
rasi and Xth bhava fallen in Vrischika rasi. For a Chara lagna (Movable asc), XIth stana &
its lord become badhaka stana & badhaka lord. In this example which is badhaka stana
XI th rasi or XIth bhava (Mars or Jupiter)?

In a horary chart, for a particular question to be fulfilled, the conditions are- the Sub
Lord of the related house & its Star Lords are not to be in retrograde motion and the Sub
Lord should be significator of at least any one of the concerned houses. Is this rule is applicable to Natal charts? If a particular question related Sub Lord or its Star Lord is retrograde
in natal chart, what is the result?
Answer 3:
The lord of a cusp is the lord of rasi where the cusp falls. Since the XIth & XIIth cusps fall
in Dhanu rasi and Xth cusp falls in Vrischika rasi, the lord of both the XIth & XIIth cusps is
Jupiter and Xth cusps lord is Mars.

In a horoscope of Makara lagna, the XIth bhava and XIth lord Jupiter are Badhaka sthana.
Retrogression rule is not applicable in natal charts. In a Natal chart, do not worry whether
a planet is in direct motion or retrograde. There is no difference. (KP Reader VI, page 145)
Question 4: Why is KP up to sub only, not further up to sub sub?
Sir, Twins birth logic attracts every one and the astrology student start studying KP System .Now a days on the same logic, one question comes in mind why k p system says to
study sub lord only instead of sub sub lord which change faster than sub lord.

KP goes with rationale. The planet is the source, the star nature of the result, and sub a deciding factor, according to the KP fundamental rule:
"The planet is the source, constellation indicates nature of the result and the sub is a deciding factor whether the matter is favourable or not."

Answer 6:
The Hindu aspects (Drishtis) are counted from rasi to rasi, irrespective of the positions of
the planets in the rasis and the relative distance between the two planets i.e. not from degree to degree like in the Western aspects. Planets aspect the entire rasis with or without
any planet or cusp there, and the closer an aspect on any located planet or cusp is, the
stronger the result would be. All planets, Sun to Saturn, aspect the 7th (180) from the rasi
occupied by them. In addition, Saturn aspects the 3rd (60) and 10th (270) from the rasi
occupied by it.
The Western aspects are counted from degree to degree, not from rasi to rasi as in the
Hindus aspects. There are five basic, most important aspects, used by Ptolemy:
1) Conjunction, 0
2) Sextile, 60
3) Square, 90
4) Trine, 120
5) Opposition, 180
In the given chart, from Aries rasi @ 23 28 10 Saturn aspects Gemini rasi (also 4th cusp
located there) by 3rd Hindu aspect, Libra rasi (also 8th cusp and Jupiter located there) by 7th
Hindu aspect, and Capricorn rasi (also 11th cusp located there) by 10th Hindu aspect. But
Saturn does not aspect 4th cusp, 8th cusp and Jupiter, and 11th cusp by 3 20' orb.
Saturn does not aspect Aquarius rasi (also Moon located there @ 0 48 35) at all. In other
words, Saturn does not throw Hindu aspect on Moon without orb or by 3 20' orb.
That is why KPAstro 4.1 does not show Saturns aspect on Moon by 3 20 orb.
In providing the 4-step primary significators, KPAstro 4.1 applies the Hindu aspect with orb
as done in the book of 4-step lecture notes.
It is to note that there are two kinds of aspects only, namely Hindu aspects without orb and
Western aspect with orb. The 4-step method applies Hindu aspects with orb, generally 3
20 orb.

For married life, planets connected with 6th, i.e. significators of 6th house, bring about separation due to partners walking out or desertion. 12th house significators denote that the

As far as my reading goes, judging the 11th cuspal sub lord for divorce has not been found
in the KP literature except below:

Conclusion: For divorce, its more reasonable to consider the 7th (legal tie) cuspal sub lord
other than 11th (permanent tie of friendship) cuspal sub lord. Because legal tie of marriage
will be broken after divorce but friendship may be carried on. So take 7th CSL only.

Houses 3,7,11 become the detrimental houses for this event. But house 4 cannot be a detrimental house to house 4, like house 10 cannot be a detrimental house to house 11 in the
house grouping for promotion houses 2,6,10,11.

This Upanakshatra Jyothisha is one more book from the collection series of refreshing old
articles compiled by K. Hariharan, which contains 40 articles, as shown in the contents.
In most of the articles, the ruling planets have been used extensively, and it is said,
'According to KP, the ruling planets at birth rule again at the time of death and also at each
and every event of life.' (page 155)
Proper consideration of a planet (cuspal sub lord or dasa period lord), it's star and sub is
found in some articles as follow:
'Summing up, it is advisable to predict after analyzing the star and sub positions etc. of the
planets as well as of the cusps of the horoscope.' (page 88)
'Sub lord of 10th cusp is Mercury. (Mercury's) star lord is Moon and sub lord is
Jupiter.' (page 137)
'Venus Dasa, star lord is Kethu and sub lord is Jupiter which is analyzed in above.' (page
138)
However, the sub lord of planet is not considered. 'Here the sub lord of the 6th cusp is
Jupiter... Now Jupiter is posited in Venus star.' (page 254) The cuspal sub lord Jupiter's
sub is not taken into consideration.

Moreover, in checking whether the concerned matter is promised or not, the cusp co-rulers,
star and sub lords of the cusp are considered but the cuspal sub lord, its star and sub are
not considered.
'The 11th cusp is governed by Jupiter and Mercury as star lord and sub lord of the
cusp.' (page 71) Only the cusp co-rulers Jupiter and Mercury are considered. In order to
check whether the concerned matter is promised or not, the 11th cuspal sub lord Mercury
as a planet, it's star and sub are to be considered. Similarly 'Interview is governed by the
3rd cusp. 3rd cusp is governed by Jupiter and Mercury as star and sub lords.' (page 72) The
3rd cuspal sub lord Mercury, its star and sub are to be considered in order to check whether
success in interview is promised or not.
The subs star is considered like in 4-step theory. Sub lord of Lagna is Venus in the star
and sub of Saturn, occupant of Bhadhaka sthana. Sub lord Saturn in the star of Ketu
placed in 6th (page 208)
For married life the 11th cuspal sub lord is checked. No doubt, the 7th house represents
marital relationship; yet for permanence of relationship and harmony one has to examine
the sub lord of 11th cusp, as it is the 11th house that represents permanent relationship and
harmony. (Vide page 151 of May 1971 edition of K.P. Reader IV) (page 225). In horary
astrology, if the sub lord of the 11th cusp is a significator of houses 1,5,7 or 11, perfect
hamony and happy life is indicated. (page 266)
The following points are food for thought and for your information:
In the male chart under discussion, we have to confirm that the sub lord of 5th cusp is a
significator of 2,5 and 11 and that the sub lord of the 11th cusp is a significator of 8,11 and
5. (page 217) 8,11 and 5 are 2,5 and 11 for wife.
In my opinion the Ascendant is the house which brings all-round success to the querent
and as such the Ascendant should not be considered as a house of negation to the 2nd
house. (page 143)
There is a provision whereby an astrologer can entertain a question from a person whos
has a strong urge to know even about anyone, person or organization not directly connected
with the questioner. The question in such a case is, as it were, that from the concerned
person himself for the purpose of assigning Lagna.In this case I had the urge. I took out the
number 181. The resultant Lagna Sagittarius 20-06-40, represented NTR.
'A planet in a constellation gives the result indicated by the lord of the constellation in its
Dasa (i.e. tenant planets Dasa) in the Bhukti of lord of constellation. Conversely, when the
Dasa of a planet is on; planets in the constellation or on the sub of the Dsa lord can give the
result.' As such , Rahu in the constellation of Venus will give the result in Venus Dasa and
Rahu Bhukti. (page 279)
Grade 'E' significator: planets associated with and aspected by the above (grade A,B,C & D)
significators, especially the star lords of the cusps. (page 237)
In Western astrology, the square aspect has been considered as unfavorable by most of the
authorities... The square aspect has been found to excite the events in almost all cases.
