General Assembly Committee

France (Isabelle Simpson)

POWER EXCHANGE RELIEVES ALL NATIONS RISK
General Assembly,
Fully Alarmed by North Korea continuing to threaten multiple nations with nuclear
weapons, in particular Japan, South Korea, America and any other nation threatening North
Korea, that would result in mass devastation,
Bearing in mind that the United Nations has written 12 different resolutions involving the
Democratic People's Republic of Korea according to UN Documents for DPRK (North Korea),
eleven of which directly apply to its current nuclear stance, none of which have been
successful, leaving multiple nations at risk,
Emphasizing the fact that nearly 73% of the U.N.s resolutions including (2141, 2094,
2087, 1985, 1874, 1718, 1695, 825) according to UN Documents for DPRK (North Korea)
involve the idea of imposing sanctions upon nuclear North Korea, and none of these resolutions
have done anything besides slowing the development of, ultimately, the worlds demise,
Keeping in mind that the lack of successfulness is not in the fault of the United Nations it
lay in the hands of the nation/s that choose not to full heartedly participate in the sanctions set
upon North Korea,
Seeking the denuclearization of North Korea, a nation thriving on power without the
thought of what is good for the people, the United Nations must indeed take a different stance
as to effectively disable this ticking time bomb,
Deeply Concerned by North Koreas improvement in nuclear transportation, fear is
building in nations that the bombs will soon have the ability to reach,
Confident without a solution North Korea will have to much power and will be much more
difficult to bring back down, causing a world wide monarchy by an unstable ruler,
Emphasizing the fact, that the pace North Korea is developing new nuclear technology
the world is ultimately in a huge cloud of danger,
1.Notes that exchanging power to an unstable nation is a dangerous and rather
preposterous idea although allowing an ambiguous country to have weapons of mass
destruction in its possession will ultimately end in mass devastation and numerous fatalities;

2.Requests that the security council comes together and composes a source of power
that will not have the ability to harm any creature, but is worth while to the North Koreans in
exchange for the dismantlement of all nuclear weapons:
a. With this power source it must be something of substance to North
Korea, such as Nuclear weaponry, according to Chronology of U.S.-North Korean
Nuclear and Missile Diplomacy treaties are of little meaning Kim Jong-un (as we
have seen with the NPT in 2003);
3.Calls upon sanctions and the imposed idea of restriction of cooperation with a majority
of the rest of the world, with the lifting of unnecessary sanctions will show there is loyalty to be
had and that we are willing to negotiate;
4.Draws the attention to the security council, for the security council fund North Korea's
allies to negotiate the consultation;
5. Further requests nations opposed will not be required to give any power, but will be
obligated to participating in the convincing of North Korea that an exchange of power is the best;
6. Calls upon all participating nations in the generall assembly and security Council, to
grant a solution or idea for what the new power shall be;
7. Affirms that although this solution may not be the ultimate conclusion for the current
issue, it is a temporary physical solution that will put us one step ahead of where we have been;
8.Emphasizes that while North Korea has nuclear weapons in their hands the entire
world is looking down the barrel of a gun, and without any solution, temporary or not, the world
is one push of a button away from total destruction.
