Upward communication:
Upward communication is the vertical communication flows
from lower level to one or more higher level in the
organization.
According to Ricky W.Griffin, Upward communication consist
of massages from subordinates to superior.

 Downward communication:
Downward communication is the
communication where information or
massage flows from the top of the
organizational structure.

 Horizontal communication:
Horizontal communication occurs
between people occupying same
position in the organization hierarchy.
It helps to share ideas information,
wishes and attitude between peers
and colleagues. It also promotes
mutual understanding and ensure
cross-functional coordination.

 Internal communication:
Internal communication is the
function responsible for effective
communication among participants
within an organization.

 External communication:
The communication that is occurred
among the organization is called the
external communication.

 Barriers of communication:
There are seven of these types of barriers to
effictive communication.
Physical barrier
Perseptual barrier
Emotional barrier
Cultural barrier
Language barrier
Gender barrier
Interpersonal barrier
