My Key Resources

For this project I will have to use a variety of sources due to the range of information that
will have to be put into use in my videos. I used many sources but I decided to pick out
these 5 key sources that I will analyse once all the videos have been made:
1. Online YouTube video explaining how to decode the METAR, which stands for
Meteorological Aerodrome Report (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DUmW7gcinLY)
2. NASAs description of plane parts (http://www.grc.nasa.gov/WWW/k-12/airplane/
airplane.html)
3. Baltic Aviation Academys Video on ILS Charts (https://www.youtube.com/watch?

4. A document explaining the basics of ATC communication and tips and advice (http://
flighttraining.aopa.org/cfis/resources/Learn%20to%20Talk%20Like%20a
%20Pro_ATC.pdf)
5. A book on Microsoft flight simulator which gives some very accurate procedures and
information used by pilots in the real world (West, Jeff Van, and Kevin Lane-Cummings.
Microsoft Flight Simulator X for Pilots: Real World Training. Indianapolis, In.: Wiley,
2007. Print.)
