Title: Duration (Rollie Lelliot Cup) & Scale ; & Co2

JETEX

Open contests for any model of the appropriate era powered by a Jetex motor or equivalent. This may be

extended to include rocket motors such as Rapier motors at the CD's discretion. Fuel or rockets must be

commercially available.

DURATION: ROLLIE LELLIOT CUP


1. Three flights with a one minute max are added to an unlimited fly-off if required.

2. Any flight of less than 10 seconds will be classed as an attempt with two attempts allowed per model.

3. All fly-offs, where required, are to take place during a designated half hour period at the end of the

competition.

SCALE

1. The total number of seconds of two timed flights are added to the bonus points.

2. Scale bonus.

a) A maximum of 5 points for scale appearance.

b) If from a commercial kit or published plan, dimensions and finish are to be as per plan to score maximum

points.

3. Complexity bonus.

a) 5 points for internally-mounted motors.

b) 10 points for twin motors.

4. Catapult assisted launch is allowed.

5. Any flight of less than 10 seconds will be classed as an attempt with two attempts allowed per model.
6. To qualify for bonuses the model must achieve two qualifying flights.

Co2 Duration

1. Models shall be powered by any Co2 motor with a tank not exceeding 3cc.

2. Models shall be a published or kilted design whether originally intended for Co2 power or not.

3. Models may be scaled up or down to suit the power source.


4. The original structure as published shall be adhered to, with the following permitted exceptions:

a) Motor mounting changes to accommodate the Co2 motor.

b) Local strengthening in the area of the filler.

c) Undercarriage legs may be lengthened to accommodate proportionally larger propellers.

5. The flights shall be made using Co2 as the working fluid.

6. Hand launching shall be permitted.

7. The score is obtained by adding the flight times together.
