To make her hand and guitar go over the black border, you first need to use a

lasso tool, I use the polygonal lasso , go around the entire area you want to
select.

when it is all
selected you
should be
able to move
the piece
you've
lassoed
around

Cut the
piece of the
image out and put it onto another layer so that you can now move it in front of
the other layers, or shapes.
That selected area will
now be able to go
above or behind any
layer.

Lasso tool + layers can be used to create this effect.

Rift Masthead

The RIFT masthead is made up of a bunch of copies of the same display font. The
layers are linked together so that if you move one you
move them all together.

you can select the layers all
together at once by holidng
down the shift key and then
pressing the link button at the
bottom of the layers panel.

Now you can move leyers in unison and use them to

create a

layered image.
