Droid Screencast Installation Instructions

1. Before you begin the installation process you must verify that you have the
Java Runtime Environment 5 or later installed on your PC. Droid Screencast
depends upon JAVA in order for the Android device to communicate with your
PC. If you are unsure if the Java Runtime Environment is installed on your PC
you may go to this website to verify
http://www.java.com/en/download/installed.jsp . If you DO NOT have the
Java Runtime Environment (JRE) installed on your PC you may follow the
instructions on this website to perform the installation process.
2. Plug your Droid device into your PC using the USB cable provided to you by
the manufacturer of the device. The manufacturer of the Droid device will
provide documentation on now to install the appropriate USB drivers in order
for your PC to recognize your Droid device. Consult the documentation
provided with the device or visit the manufacturers website if you need
additional information.
3. Download the Droid Screencast software located on the initial page located at
www.droidscreencast.com
After you have downloaded the software you may unzip the file contents.
Start the installation process by clicking on the Droid Screencast.exe file.
Follow the instructions provided to you during the installation process. After
the installation process has finished a desktop icon should apprear with the
title of Droid Screencast. Simply click on the Droid Screencast icon to launch
the program.
IMPORTANT! Please make sure your Droid Device is plugged in to your PC
using the USB cable provided with the device before starting the Droid
Screencast program.
