Curriculum Expectations:
- Each student have their own IEP goals
- Common goals: use switch to provide greeting, provide a yes response, making choices
between two, provide eye contact with interacting, responding to name, tolerating full
support, fine motor skills as independently as possible, use step by step switch

- Knee patch + glove
Promethean board + flipchart
- Props _ concrete objects for thematic song
Mirror
- Step by step switch
Large Canada flag, 9 small flags
- iPad with prologuo2go

- Accessible wind chimes and concert circle
Mental Set:
1. Use concrete circle, give to children who are blind to touch and hold, tell them its circle
time
2. Each child takes turns to pull string to ring wind chimes

1. Choose a helper to help at the promethean board
2. Call out each students name, and put them in the right box on the board. Students use
mirror to look at reflection and give response when name is called.
Greetings
3. Say Good moring/afternoon to each student. They will use switch or iPad to respond.
4. Eleni shares about her evening using her switch.
5. Sing hello song. Choose 1 student to help roll the big dice.
Calendar and counting
6. Look at calendar for date. Ask 1 student to choose from concrete object. Tap on knees or
clap hands to count the days.
7. Ask What are we going to be doing today?. Each student takes turns to press 3 step
switch.

8. Each student holds their own flag and teacher holds big flag to sing anthem

9. Students make choice between 2 objects to sing theme song (Old MacDonald)
