Big Ideas:
The big of idea of the unit is to be able to show how students make healthy choices by where the go in the community and what
kinds of thing they do in the community.
-Exploring your community, how would you define your community? Is it a big part of your life?
-Healthy living, does the community promote a healthy lifestyle? How?
-Increasing your Spanish repertoire, including new vocab and new grammar tenses

Unit Summary:

In this unit, students will learn vocabulary dealing with the community and places they frequent. They will also learn the
grammar content of past participles and the present perfect tenses, which they will be using in their presentations. At the end of
the unit, students will give a tour of their town, determining if they are making healthy choices at the places they go, including
the modes of transportation.
