completing multiple choice items?
MONDAY
(1C) Learning Target: Students will improve their ability
to edit academic essays. They will show their learning by
engaging in oral discussion with a variety of peers.
(1C) Do Now: Describe something you feel you did well on
the essay we began last week.
TUESDAY
(1C) Learning Target: Students will improve their ability
to edit academic essays. They will show their learning by
generating an editing narrative.
(1C) Do Now: Based on our conversations yesterday,
describe three things you know you would like to change
about your essay.
In class, students will write one paragraph for each of
the following questions:
1. What can be added to your essay to improve it?
2. What needs to be removed from your essay?
3. What makes your essay original, or makes it
stand out?
4. What are you going to accomplish in this essay
that you have never accomplished before?
WEDNESDAY
(1C) Learning Target: Students will improve their ability
to correctly answer AP level multiple choice items. They
will show their learning by doing so.
(1C) Do Now: Please remind yourself (and the rest of us)
what strategies work for succeeding on multiple choice
exams.
THURSDAY
(1C) Learning Target: Students will improve their
vocabulary skills in preparation for the AP Exam. They
will show their learning by completing a vocabulary
quiz.
This quiz will cover ten terms taken from the entire
vocabulary list, which will be posted in class.
FRIDAY
(1C) Learning Target: Students will improve their skills
in speaking and listening. They will show their learning
through written notes and Socratic dialogue.
Do Now: Please produce your notes, text and
opening question.
