For men, status is based largely upon

the urban women than that of the rural

Dating
Urban young people began dating in groups
around age 15. In rural areas, people began
dating at a younger age, and young women are
often considered ready for marriage by their
mid-teens.
Young women and their families are careful to
maintain the girls reputation which can affect
her prospects for marriage. Therefore, a proper
couple is chaperoned by younger cousins or
siblings.

For the rest of society, the men usually
asks the womans father for permission
