PS Ill Final Report for Marco D’Aversa
inistrator Comments:
It has been a pleasure to have Marco complete his final practicum at St. Brigid School. From day one in
his practicum placement, he has demonstrated great professionalism and treated students, staff and
parents with kindness and respect. In a very short time, Marco has established an excellent rapport
with all members of the school community. He has established a great mentor-teacher relationship with
his supervising teachers and is always willing to learn and receive constructive criticism. He is very much
liked and respected and students respond to his enthusiastic and creative approach. Marco's
unassuming personality and quiet sense of humor are appealing qualities that his students enjoy and
respond well to. He constantly moves about the gymnasium giving advice, positive encouragement and
answering and asking questions. He uses effective classroom management to create an atmosphere
that is respectful and orderly. All students know the rules and expectations of student behavior and
demonstrate these very appropriately. Marco incorporates positive strategies for effective
management of some challenging students and promotes a learning environment that is safe and caring,
Daily plans are well planned and he has successfully incorporated and developed detailed unit plans
which are interesting and motivational in nature. Marco is a very organized and well prepared
practicum student who has spared no expense preparing lessons that inspire yet reflect program
modifications and differentiation that accommodate the varied needs of his students. Individual, small
group and full class instruction are effectively used and address the varied learning styles within the
classroom. Mr. D’Aversa has a clear understanding of learner expectations and incorporates a variety of
instructional resources, technology and activities that enhance student learning.
Mr. D’Aversa has made outstanding contributions to the school community including active participation
and organization of religious celebrations and supervision team member throughout his final practicum.
Marco has volunteered his time and talent without hesitation to help supervise in various athletic
