Children are a blessing from the Lord and as parents you have been given the amazing gift of bring up your child. In Proverbs 22:6 the Bible says Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it. We want to partner with you to help bring up your children in the one true faith. In order to do this we have rules to help keep order and provide a safe place where children can grow in the strength and knowledge of God in a loving Christ filled environment. I am only with the children so much and have a small influence compared to parents and guardians. In a partnership with parents/guardians I am looking forward to build up, and guide your children in the faith. Please go through the rules with your child, and talk to them about the guidelines. Afterwards please sign the sheet and bring it back at registration. Classroom Rules: In all things God comes first: In all actions In all thoughts In all speech In order to be good stewards of the gifts we are given we will show Respect in all we do: To God To all people To all creation To all property Please understand that every action you take can cause a different reaction in others. We want to represent Christ and act out of love and not hate. Listen at all times when the teacher is talking Work on the assignments given Study when given tasks to study
Classroom Consequences:
The classroom policies are a chance for students to
understand that their choices have consequences (some may be good
consequences and some may be bad.) It is important for students to
understand the importance of their actions and for a chance to learn about grace, receive it, and grant grace to others. Positive Incentives will happen at the teachers discretion and they will be awarded as such. The student will be given a clean slate for the day and when student is caught doing something good that student will get a green bead put into their jar. When the student comes in they will have a clean slate for the day and when something happens that causes disciplinary actions these actions will come as follows. School Rules:
Rules are made to keep order and to create a harmonious
environment where students can learn. Our school partners with parents in order to help your child grow and learn from any discipline actions that will be taken. 1) Respect the environment around you We have the privilege and honor to have the resources we have to create a healthy learning environment that will encourage you child to do the best they can. We want to be able to keep these resources for many years so that others can learn in the future. Students are not permitted to deface or damage school and church property, the playgroundect. 2) Respect the people around you
It is important that we respect other people around us and
love others as we love ourselves. Students are expected to keep hands and feet away from others, play safely with objects in and out of the school and church grounds, and to respect all authority. 3) Show Christ first in everything We are called to build up each of our brothers and sisters in Christ. In order to do this bullying of any kind will not be tolerated and appropriate disciplinary action will be taken.
Schoolwork Policy:
Homework is a chance for students to learn many skills
necessary for the workforce. Completing homework on time teaches time management, accountability, responsibility and many other life skills. Students should have enough time to get most of their homework done during the school day however there will be times in which they will have to work at home. Students are expected to complete the work putting their name, date, and the name of the assignment on the page. When the assignment is due they are expected to turn it in at the beginning of class.
Late Work Policy:
Work is due and needs to be turned in at the beginning of class if
a student is seen working on homework that is due on that day during class it will be considered late. If a student does not have their homework done they can choose to turn it in then or accept a 10% grade drop. If more than 5 assignments are late in the semester parents will be contacted.
