Was the director and conductor of schools girls, boys, and mixed a capella choirs.
There were
roughly twenty-five students in total and we did a range of music including
popular music, classic rock, and
holiday music.

I gave violin lessons to a student over the summer. In the lessons I taught about he
basic beginnings
of music and the violin. I transposed several pieces to different keys
that would be more accommodating to the
student.

Attended NJMEA Conference

February 2015

While at the three day conference I attended several different seminars and lectures
about starting up
a mens chorus, elementary teaching, and many more. All of these
lectures were useful for helping prepare me
as a teacher.

Kodaly Preliminary Certification

Spring 2015

This is not a level one certificate but it is a step towards one. I attended three different
three hour
seminars about Kodaly and its use in the practice room. I then submitted
three reflection essays on the three
seminars.
