National Identity is an awareness of difference, recognition of ones own culture,

language, history and inheritance, and the basis of ones nationality depending
on the community by which he lives with. When threats arise such as alienation
from other countries, this identity renders a sense of belonging to a nation which
may unite people with the same nationality towards the colonization of the
nations cultures. On the other hand, national identity is somewhat similar to an
individuals sense of uniqueness in the sense that being in that way, no other
human being could replicate the exact copy of another, or no other human being
could think in the same way the person beside himself could manipulate ideas. In
the similar way, ones national identity is distinct from the other races in the sense
that the culture of one community may vary from the culture of the other. For
instance, the dance of our forefathers imitated the steps of a duck, or imbued
balancing candles while dancing. This may be different from the Spanish dance
of Flamengo in the sense that the attires are much more intricate and the steps
are more focused on the hand part. The identity that is built in this difference is
important so as to exercise independence, variations, and pride over the
distinguishing culture that we acquired and which no one else has thought of.
But having a remarkable identity does not stop there; it is usually sustaining it is
what matters the most, and usually the hardest as well. Furthermore, the
complications that may have been shaking the stability of one's national identity
may be as follows: colonization, patronization of foreign products, racism and
colloquial mentality.
