CCHS Lightning Policy
ADs —
In an effort to support your coaching staff so they are able to coach during the track meets, Tam
‘writing to ask for your help with supervision and event management for the middle school track
‘meets that are held at Poudre High School. We value these events and want to do everything,
possible to support athletics at the middle level. We took over the administrative roles yesterday
0 the coaches could focus on coaching but need to solicit your help as what we did isn’t
sustainable for the remainder ofthe track season.
Ifeach school can provide 1 staff member, this will afford each track meet with a DREAM TEAM
of 3 adults designated to tackle the following responsibilities:
¥ monitor lightning/call the meet/direct everyone to the designated area (this person needs
the WeatherBug app on their phone/lightening within 6 miles radius suspends the event)
¥ contact the athletic trainer should there be an injury
¥ announce the events
% manage the spectator section (parents naturally stand along the front bar to get a great
picture/cheer on their kid and then block the view of the other parents seated in the
stands)
¥ direct people to bathrooms and water sources
Y set up/break down the portable sound system and return it to the front office (PHS Night
Lod Cust, a )
‘Thank you for your support!
