Overview of Activity
In this activity students will demonstrate their understanding of the three
different levels of the government by going through local and national
Newspapers and identifying different levels of the law. They are to then
cut and paste into a book and demonstrate why they classified the piece.

Learning Objectives
In this activity students will:
Students will identify and analyse a Newspaper article's to
determine level of government. (ACMSP148)
Demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of what identifies
a level of government.
Demonstrate knowledge of the three different government levels.

Learning Intention
The learning intention of this activity is to allow students to recall and
demonstrate their understanding of the three government levels whilst
analysing a real world issue.

Assessment
As: students are given 60 seconds are encouraged to a '60 second think'
for them to reflect on what they know and what they're identifying.
For: Throughout the activity the educator can provide feedback and
discuss with students about their article by asking questions "what makes
you think it is this?" "Can you identify any key words?"
OF: this activity can be turned into a summative piece assessment by the
analysing of the end product of the activity. It allows the educator to
understand how and what students are identifying.
Modification
To modify this task for students with lower literacy levels, the
educator can supply newspaper articles at their level.
To assist with students with low literacy levels, the educator can
provide assistance in comprehending the text.
To assist students with concept troubles they are able to utilize

Students with physical impairments that may not allow them to
