Install IEC 61131-3 for SCADAPack on Windows Vista

If any intended IEC 61131-3 For SCADAPack user has Standard User type
account under Windows Vista, the following procedure has to be completed
before installation.
Share Installation Directory
1. Navigate to the folder that will contain IEC 61131-3 For SCADAPack
installation directory.

2. Right click on the intended installation directory folder, select Share in the
menu.
3. In the pop-up dialog, add intended IEC 61131-3 For SCADAPack users and
set their Permission level to Co-owner.

4. Click Share button to close dialog.

5. Proceed with normal IEC 61131-3 For SCADAPack installation, either from
installation CD menu or installer executable.

Deactivate User Account Control (UAC)
1. From Windows Start Menu, choose Control Panel, and then open User
Accounts.

2. In User Accounts window, click on Turn User Account Control on or off.

3. If User Account Control dialog pops up, click continue.

4. Under Turn on User Account Control (UAC) to make your computer more
secure, click to deselect Use User Account Control (UAC) to help protect
your computer, then click OK button.

5. Restart your computer as prompted
