Subject: Reaching Out To Prospective Members

Introduction:

The Association for Healthcare Resources and Management (AHRMM) is a premier membership
group for healthcare supply chain professionals. Recently they have seen expansion thus we have
the Rocky Mountain branch of our Non-Profit Organization. The driving objectives behind
AHRMM is to gain members and supply them with necessary and helpful resources. We
understand that professionals from materials management can greatly benefit from the many
resources provided by AHRMM, in turn enhancing our healthcare industry by eliminating wasted
money and materials, while saving time. For professionals involved with supply chain
management to see success they need to have skills in networking as well as be knowledgeable
on; Purchasing, Inventory Distribution Management, Support Services, Information Systems,
Finance, Strategic Planning, and Leadership. Not everyone can easily master all these areas of
management, so this is where becoming a member with AHRMM really pays off.
Background:

Members are the fuel to this machine, without them there would be no purpose for this
association to exist. If interested parties want help in making their line of work more efficient
and their vendors more reliable, then they need to be supplied with the right information in a
clear and relatable form. We have been informed that the Rocky Mountain chapter of the
AHRMM is in desperate need of members. Our group is planning on designing a newsletter
template for the Rocky Mountains chapter website in order to provide a friendly and informative
means of reaching out to prospective members. We plan on adding all additional information
necessary in educating supply chain professionals about the benefits of becoming a member with
the Rocky Mountain Association for Healthcare Resources and Management.

Description of What is Proposed:

The main issue that RM-AHRMM would like us to address is the means of communication that
they have with their prospective members. We plan to help them put their objectives into words
on their website and create a clean and readable place for interested individuals to gain
knowledge about the group. We also will be working on formatting a newsletter that could be
sent out to members of the association.

Methods:
We will be researching the association through their main website and through interviews with
the Rocky Mountain chapter president, Mr. Tibbs. These sources should give us sufficient
information to apply to the website in a new and relatable way. After speaking with Mr Tibbs we
also hope to gain a more clear objective for the newsletter with topics he would like addressed,
which we will continue to research and apply to the project.

Why we are qualified:

Our writing team of participants has a diverse and experienced history in writing. We have taken
extensive writing and rhetoric classes that have helped us learn how to analyze and produce
effective writing. Team members have also taken creative writing classes which is helpful for

forming new writing ideas, as well as journalism class to provide efficient communication of
events to large quantities of people. We also have a distinguished team member that has been
published in the Expert Review of Respiratory Medicine. Our diversity and willingness to help
set us apart as qualified and professional candidates to best help this organization.
Planned budget and expenses:
As it seems that most of the primary concerns of the organization deal with communication
awareness and website information, it appears that costs will be minimal. We are willing to take
on the responsibility for the printing of any original copies of documents we produce, however
any further replication of said materials will fall under the responsibility of the organization. We
do not expect to incur more than $10 in printing fees of these original copies we are supplying.
We do not expect to produce many paper copies as it looks like most of our involvement will be
via electronic means. We will be fully offering our time and talents in order to help this
organization grow.
In conclusion:
We look forward to this opportunity to help this chapter of the AHRMM grow and develop to be
able to fulfil its goals and plans in helping connect individuals of the healthcare community. By
spreading awareness of the importance of this organization and its membership we will be able
to help our newly founded branch establish its place in the market. It is very fulfilling to be able
to help those in need and by helping people receive the best available healthcare options via
AHRMM we can all feel this satisfaction.
