Early Life
At age 7 he was playing in public
2 years later he was known as one of the best pianists in Berlin.
Made his Debut in 1801 playing Mozarts D Minor Piano Concerto.
Franz Louska was his first Keyboard instructor
First stage work was the Ballet Der Fischer und das Milchmadchen which was
produced in March of 1810.
Determined to become a musician it was hard for him to decide between
playing and composing music.

Les Huguenots
Very popular in its time but is now forgotten.
This opera was carefully thought out and was five years in
creation.
Very catchy and smooth melodies, Program music,

Definitely shows the new genre of Grand Opera
The opera is a love story that also follows along with the
theme of the St. Bartholomews Day Massacre in 1572
where thousands of Frenchman were slaughtered.
