She started her career in fluid mechanics research and has held several roles testing engines and aircraft models at Airbus and its suppliers. NEO project Flight Test Engineer Sandra Bour Schaeffer was appointed NEO Project Flight Test Engineer since the beginning of 2013 and as such is responsible of all flight test activities for the A320neo family within the Airbus Flight Test team. Sandra Bour Schaeffer started her career in 1998 as a Fluid Mechanics Research Engineer at SNECMA. Three years later, she joined Airbus to work on the PW6000 engine (A318) at the then Airbus France Integration Test Centre. In 2004 , when she started working in the Flight Tests team, she was deeply involved in the A380 Trent 900 Flight Test development and certification campaign, first as a Flight Test Support Engineer and later as a Flight Test Engineer. From late 2007 right through to the beginning of 2011 Sandra moved to the Production Flight Test Domain where, as a Flight Test Engineer, she was in charge of the Long Range fleet coordination. Between 2011 and 2013 she was involved in the A319, A320 and A321 Sharklet projects as Performance and Handling Qualities Flight Test Engineer. In this role, Sandra has participated both to the A320 and A321 Sharklet maiden flights. Married with two children Sandra Bour Schaeffer graduated as Flight Test Engineer from lEcole du Personnel Navigant dEssais et de Rception (EPNER). She also holds a PHD degree from SupAero and an engineer degree from lEcole Nationale Suprieure de Mcanique et dArotechnique (ENSMA). In her free time, Sandra Bour Schaeffer enjoys dancing and playing the piano. Born in 1975, she holds both French and German nationalities.
