Bravery in Space Exploration
As a young child, what do you see when you look up into the night sky?
Do you imagine stars being connected to make one image or wish upon the
brightest one? Many questions and wonders are made and discovered just by
soaring through the sky. Over the years astronomers and scientists has
started to get a better understanding about our planets, stars, moon, and
other galaxies. Part of the young population as a whole would like to become
that astronaut. They are influenced by what they hear from their peers, what
they hear on the radio, and most of all what they see on television. The
government invests in making space exploration a necessary goal to reach.
Characteristics that make an astronaut is bravery, courage, and
endurance. One of the most beat well known astronauts in the United States
is Neil Armstrong. Mostly through elementary school, our teachers taught us
how great and important he was. For example, he went aboard the Apollo 11
on a space mission in the 1960s. He and his flight members landed on the
moon and Armstrong drove the Lunar Module. This one reason why kids are
interested in becoming an astronaut. One person I went to pre-school with
named JaPower was interested in becoming an astronaut. According to David
Eicher, astronomy has five big questions; 1. How did the Big Bang happen?

2. What is Dark Matter? 3. How did galaxies form? 4. How old is the universe?
5. How big is the Universe? I believe that these are some great questions
because some people have different beliefs on how our galaxy came into
existence. I know the universe has to be really large but the actual size, it is
unknown in my findings.
The process on how to become an astronaut takes alot of will power.
First, a person has to have the interest. The he or she goes through the
schooling and education. After that, a person gets into a program and does
the training requirements. Moreover, a person cannot be afraid of heights or
going beyund their comfort zone. Thucydidse once said, the bravest are
surely those who have the clearest vision of what is before them glory and
danger alike and yet not withstanding go out to meet it. According to the
Merriam Webster dictionary, bravery is the quality that allows someone to do
things that are dangerous or frightening. Most children go through a phase
when they become brave. How I gained bravery was first believing in myself
and standing for what I know whats in my heart is right.
Looking into space increase our knowledge and support on how to
travel better outer space entitles the government to enhance previous
robotics, according to Zarnecki. I agree that if the more success we have
here on Earth the chance of pushing out the limits to go further in space will
increase. The types of missions astronauts participate on also play a role in
how far they are willing to travel to bring back findings. From the article,
Representing Planetary Terrains into a Virtual Reality Environment for Space

Exploration, Piovano mentioned that gaining the research of Architectures

for Humans and Robotics was to acquire experiences and technical skills. In
my opinion, constructing the proper model of a 3D structure will have a
significant outcome in the field of space exploration.
Landing on the moon is easy for a space craft because of how light it
weighs in pounds, but for humans there are plenty of calculations and tests
to run before they can go into a space shuttle. For example, Armstrong loved
flying things when he was young. Then, around age sixteen, he obtained his
students pilot license. According to Tyson, it is a good to keep reaching out
in space. I know the goverment has spent a lump some of money on findings
new ways to launch the best fit rocket. For instance, the shuttle that was
launched at the beginning of 2015 went down in Florida. Many pieces had to
be cleaned up. Situations like these takes bravery to admit the mistakes that
were caused.
