1.) Our goal is to research the food options at our campus and compare it to
other universities to determine what students prefer the most. Students spend a lot
of money on their dining experience and deserve to get the best. We want to
determine what students want improved on their campus and also what they like
about it.
2) As a group, we agree that the dining services at UNCC are not up to par. Being on
campus, many complaints are heard from the students referring to on campus
dining. We want to find out if this reason for complaint is found on other schools
campus or if UNCCs dining is falling behind. We decided that to get the best
results we are going to survey students from UNCC and also nine other
comparative universities. Each group member is going to have two schools to focus
on each and will plan to give the survey to five students from each school. Our
survey will focus on various aspects of dining around campus including hours,
location, pricing, options, and the quality/health of the food.

Group responsibilities

Cody- I have UNCW and ECU. My responsibility is to survey up to five people who attend
each of these universities. I will ask each responder a series of questions that will reflect
on how they feel about their dining experiences on campus. This information will be
assessed and used to compare against the results we obtain from the other schools.
Charlotte- I will be researching USC and APP. I am going to use each university's website
to do my research before I conduct my at school research. Once I am done with that I am
going to use what I already know to survey students at each school and determine their
preferences. Then we will all bring what we have learned from our research to compare the
results.
Allison- I will be researching HPU and UNC Chapel Hill. My responsibility is to interview up
to five individuals that attend the University about how they feel about the meal plan offered
at their school. The information will be compared to data collected.
Ryan Scott- I am focusing my research on UNCC and NC State. I am going to interview at
least 5 students at each school on what they think about their campus and food services.
After the interviews I will determine what they would prefer to have on campus. I will also
present my information to the group to help compare to the other schools we have on our
list.
Adrianna Boston- My primary job is to do my research on both universities which consist of
North Carolina A&T University and UNCG. I will interview 5 students that do live on campus
and they will give me their opinions of the food. I also am in charge of part of the visual
presentation display that will be presented to the class.
