The book called Hunting and Fishing for Sport: Commerce, Controversy, Popular Culture is a
great book for covering the wide array of topics in outdoor activites. This book talks about
different jobs that deal with wildlife involved with hunting and fishing, the social issues it may
have, and the popularity of the outdoors. This source will allow me to use some key examples
when talking about the culture of fishing.

One of my sources is a book written by Ken Schultz called Bass Madness: Bigmouths, Big
Money, and Big Dreams. Ken Schultz was a professional bass fisherman and wrote a book
discussing how he was able to fish in bass tournaments for a living. This source will definitely
help me talk through my topic by another persons experiences. This source will help me relate to
the topic and allow me to discuss the topic from my perspective better. The book uses fishing
terminologies to allow the reader to get a sense of vernacular used in the culture of fishing.

My third source is about bass fishing tournaments and survey of popularity in the
sport. It talks about the numbers of fishing, such as the increase in tournament fishing.
This article will help show the increased popularity of bass fishing over the span of
several years. It also mentions the federal aid in a fish restoration project, which shows
that the wildlife commission in different states want to have successful fisheries for the
outdoorman. This will allow me to talk about how the wildlife services are a benefactor
for the fisheries around America.
