Samsung Brief

Opinion:
In my opinion, yes chairman of Samsung should consider partnering with a
Chinese competitor because of the Chinese government incentives, unique
culture, technical skills and large market to capture.
Problem Statement:
Chinese competitor entering to market in the same way as Samsung enters
into the market and they offer partnering with Samsung, should Samsung
consider their offer?
Defense Argument:
Samsung should engage in a partnership with a Chinese competitor they will
be having plus point of the government vital resources and excessive
incentives. Chinese government willing to give discounts in the tax, cheap
debts and land. China has no such infrastructure to develop semiconductor,
they are willing to give much benefit to them so Samsung should have to
grab this opportunity.
Samsung has the opportunity of creating a unique culture by blending
Chinese and Korean culture. If this culture is effectively implemented it will
be very fruitful for both the companies, they can bring new innovative
product and keep a hold on the semiconductor market.
In China there are a wide variety of technical skills and cheap labor,
Samsung has the breakthrough to take advantage from its to become more
cost effective. It Samsung grab this advantage there will be a real threat to
its competitor in the industry. They can sell their products at premium prices
and increase their revenue.
China is the 2nd largest market for the use of semiconductor, so Samsung
would be able to enter that market and could easily capture with their niche
products. Samsung has the opportunity to grab that market and become
more efficient and effective, would be able to offer a unique and
differentiated product.
