Math Observation

Kayla used thumbs up when your done and reinforced this with
Sarah is ready or Alex is ready.
Restated what the question was asking in simpler terms for
students to better understand what was being asked of them.
Activated prior knowledge; connected yesterdays lesson of
missing addends.
Shared ideas for writing aloud to help reluctant writers. Then
shared aloud after to reinforce and make them feel proud.
Used words to remind them to be quiet ( pointed out who was
quiet and reinforced by picking students that were quiet to be
teachers partner and demonstrate math game.)
Used visuals to help visual learners.
Checked in before they were on their own-does anybody need
me to explain anything again?

Area for improvement:


-Be sure to remind them to be quiet before they start working on
their own.
-Dont forget to ask how do you know or how did you get your
answer; they
learn from each other and it helps to solidify
information.
