Overview
I propose that we complete a newsletter that will informs business on the cautiously change
ethics and policies that effect the LGBTQ members in any business. The non-profit Utah Pride
Center and other Work Force agencies is just the start of the contact list.
With research from online resources and interviews from the different agencies and business
managers will provide the key information that will be published in the newsletter. The main
purpose of using a newsletter is because information about ethics and policies is always
changing.

Current ethics and policies in business currently only discuss race or religion. When the
repel of Dont Ask Dont Tell was signed all government agencies was required to
update their ethics and policies concerning the LGBTQ community in the work
atmosphere. Then it was mandated that everyone complete a training course outlining
these changes.
This newsletter will not be designed to force personal ideal changes but to enhance
straight and gay knowledge and how it affects them both in the work atmosphere. By
bring a cohesive understanding on how the ethics and policies affect everyone. I believe a
better work force and teamwork can be generated.
Most individuals will most likely stay clear of this project but there is a great need for
this information to be presented in a positive and ethical manner. I believe with an
enthusiastic group of 3-4 individuals looking to express a new horizon in unknown or
miscued understanding this project can be a huge success.
Business that dont have the policies in there orientation courses will have new insight
but as cultural aspect for the LGBTQ community will be gained in the understanding we
are all equal in the work force. With conducting the interviews and asking the questions
also may provide insight to some of the business. Hopefully then they will take a look at
their current ethics and policies that they have in place.
