subtracting fractions. We will take our assessment over this chapter
and then move onto multiplying fractions and whole numbers

Notes from the Teacher:

There are lots of important tests during the month of May (K-PREP, STAR Reading, and
classroom tests) Please discuss the importance of these tests with your child, and make
sure they are rested and ready for these important tests!
We are continuing our KCAS (Kentucky Core Academic Standards) review this month. This will help
reinforce good test taking strategies, as well as help your child learn to manage their time during
testing. We will be conferencing on constructed response answers and rewriting them to a Top-Score
2.
Please remember the importance of your child being present at school every day. We are learning and
discussing so many wonderful things in class that cant always be sent home as make-up work.
If your child would need to miss school, due to an illness, or doctors appointment, please remember
to call the office, so that their teacher can be notified. I will gladly gather up any make-up work
your child has missed during the day, and send it to the office for you to pick up.
