Why is it a ridiculous idea (i.e. what is wrong with the idea of Duck & Cover) we do
not have shells.
The threat and fear of nuclear war was present throughout the entire Cold
War era. Many people did not question if there would be nuclear war, but
when. The next sections will help you understand the destructive nature
of nuclear weapons.
GROUND ZERO SIMULATOR

Type in 77036 in the Ground Zero Google Map box. On the drop down menu, click on
each in order & describe the damage to Sharpstown International School, Houston,
& the USA. Then click NUKE IT.
Note: The blast radius thermal damage will be shown. In the darkest area,
you would most likely not survive the blast. In the lightest color, perhaps
you might survive the blast.
1. Little Boy 15kt= would not survive.
2. Fat Man 21kt= would not survive.
3. Joe 4400kt= would not survive.
4. MK28 1.4mt= would not survive. Nuke range is huge.
5. Tzar Bomba 50mt= would survive. Nuke range not so huge.
6. B61 340kt= would not survive. We are in the highest damage point of the Nuke.
7. DF-31 140kt= would not survive. Nuke range will destroy everything.
8. Asteroid Impact= we would not survive. The Asteroid Impact would hit straight to
Houston.

a. Radius Destruction Circle= 1.7 miles.
b. Pounds per inch= 12 pounds per square inch.
c. 80 times more powerful than Hiroshima.
