Euthanasia
The composition of the eu and thanatos terms, which means "good death" or good
death, the word Euthanasia is born. Euthanasia is intended to cause death easy and
painless to a next patient to die; obtain death directly without cause pain or death
leaving this in a natural way by suppressing They are sustaining treatments the patient
alive.
Doctors are responsible for performing euthanasia, usually with the support of the family
of the patient in question. There are cases, however, where the patient is in a position to
choose on their own bodies and requests the application of euthanasia. This practice,
however, is banned in most countries. Euthanasia awakens all kinds of ethical debates.
Proponents say it avoids the suffering of the person who rejects the artificial
prolongation of life that leads to situations that are unworthy. Critics, however, believe
that nobody has the right to decide when to end the lives of others.
The issue of euthanasia is an issue that brings much controbercial both ethical, moral
and religious, there q respect the wishes of terminally ill patients within the legal
parameters
The euthanasia behaviors pose a problem in relation to the extension of human life to
unimaginable points. Therefore, the law should have an answer for it. Response should
be based on moral reflection.
Euthanasia is defined as "a death inducing pain in the interest of the recipient, which
means reducing the life of a terminally ill".
However, euthanasia is not murder, because it does not serve the interests of the
subject, and is characterized by a humanitarian reason; while euthanasia is intended to
reduce suffering in the context of a process that is ongoing. Neither euthanasia is
suicide, because it requires the participation of a third party
However, we see that the vast majority of States, euthanasia is still prohibited, which
seem to remain locked in this first conception of holiness of life. Yet, even though it
seems clear that not always the autonomy value is the most prevalent, we can not say
that the legal order, life is an absolute, non-negotiable, prima facie, and the clearest
example of this is self-defense.
In any case, it is problem that has a general solution, it is a moral dilemma, which
necessarily implies that any decision made or position is adopted, will result in the injury
of some value, whether the life or autonomy.
