To Whom It May Concern;

I recommend Autumn Jones with no reservations to your college or university. As her high school
visual art teacher at Harborside Academy I can attest that Autumn has demonstrated academic excellence,
is an exemplar of character, and an involved citizen. She is intrinsically motivated and has a drive and
commitment to excellence, in all tasks, that is uncommon in both students and adults alike. Autumn will
continue to excel, regardless of where her post-secondary education journey leads her, and she will be an
asset to your school and community.
Autumn is currently ranked 7 in her class of 102 student at Harborside and her cumulative GPA of
a 3.7 combined with that is evidence of her academic ability and success. What this does not tell you is
that Autumn goes above and beyond in the classroom daily and truly seeks to master content. She asks for
feedback and is always willing to revise, to elevate good work to great. She is a leader through her actions
and her words. During work time she is always willing to take a moment to help a struggling peer and
treats all with the utmost respect. She is a young lady that is tenacious and full of integrity, in addition to
being a genuinely kind and caring person. Due to her consistent demonstration of character she has also
been awarded all six possible character awards here at Harborside.
Harborside Academy considers Autumn a vital portion of its student body. Through her work as
editor-in-chief on the yearbook titled, The Beacon, co-president of the of the Student Ambassador club, a
member of the Harborside-By-Side volunteer club and Quill and Scroll, her mark has been left upon her
school and her legacy her is clear. In addition to these organizations Autumn also belongs to the National
English Honors Society and the National Historical Society. She has balanced her academics and inschool commitments with many other outside of schools. In her free time Autumn has been employed as a
lifeguard at the Rec Plex and worked as an independent portrait photographer. She volunteers at a local
elementary school and has continued her education in the summer at the KEMPA journalism camp.
I wholeheartedly recommend Autumn for acceptance into your college or university. She is
talented, intelligent and most importantly, motivated. Autumn will add to your campus community and
will thrive academically. Please contact me with any additional questions or concerns at 262.359.8425 or
