Educational Autobiography

I am Miss Harley Ivemeyer, a graduate from

Fitzgerald High School in 2011. I am a home
grown Fitzgerald Purple Hurricane. I Graduated
with my Associates in Science May 2014, from
Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College. I
immediately began pursuing my career as an
educator and Graduated from Georgia
Southwestern University in May 2016.
Teaching has always been my passion!

Hello, and WELCOME to My Classroom. This

year we will learn, grow, & explore while
having fun and getting to know one another.
This newsletter is just a brief snapshot of
what is anticipated for the year ahead as well
as my expectations in the classroom, of the
students, parents, and myself.

This Weeks Assignments

Class Calandar

The first week in Science we will be

studying ecosystems. Children will be
required to complete a creation of an
ecosystem at home to return by Tuesday
the 8th.

Monday
Today we are introducing ecosystems.

Get creative! Your students will have learned

a lot about ecosystems around the world.
Choose an ecosystem to mimic using objects
and animals of your choice. This needs to be
hands on, 3-D project that helps your child
expand his/her learning on this ecosystem.
Include: type of ecosystem, the animals
included, the plants found there, the climate,
and fun facts.

Wednesday
Today we are learning about the different
parts of an ecosystem.

Classroom Rules
#1 Raise your hand for permission to
speak
#2 Raise your hand for permission to
leave your seat
#3 Follow directions quickly
#4 Treat others how you want to be
treated
#5 Keep your dear teacher happy

Supply List

Tuesday
Today we are learning about different types of
ecosystems.

Thursday
Today we are creating our own mini
ecosystems.
Friday
Today we will share our ecosystems with the
class.

Upcoming Events

School Assembly
There will be an assembly each month to
recognize students for perfect attendance,
student of the month, and special
achievements.
August Assembly
Friday August 29th, 8:15 A.M. in the Gym

Your child will need the following

supplies this year:
1. Book bag
2. 3 spiral notebooks
3. 2 boxes of pencils
4. 2 glue sticks, 2 bottles glue
5. 2 packs of crayons
6. Pencil pouch
7. 2 boxes Kleenex
8. 2 bottles hand sanitizer
When your child is in need of any supplies, a
note with be sent home indicating this.
