Entrepreneurs Day
January 24, 2012 STEP entrepreneurs day was inaugurated by Prof. Paul Lillrank from Alto University
Finland. The event has been attended by STEP entrepreneurs, IIT Student entrepreneurs and faculty
entrepreneurs.

Eminent Visiting Experts.

1. Mr.Aloke Mookherjea (Chairman, Flakt India Ltd.) Visited STEP and gave a lectures on marketing on
April 04, 2011.
2. Dr. Partha Das (Entrepreneur) has given lecture on Product Development and Market Requirement
delivered October 12-13, 2011.
3. Mr. Umesh Abhyankar (AGM, Development) from Tata Technologies Limited shared the experience of
designing Nano Car with the entrepreneurs and dual degree entrepreneurship students of IIT Kharagpur
on October 19, 2011.
4. Prof. Amlendu Mukharjee (IIT Kharagpur) has given lecture on Entrepreneurship in Indian Scenario in
October 27, 2011.
5. Mr. Sandip Pal (Entrepreneur, STEP IIT Kharagpur) has given lecture on Entrepreneurship of a New
Product right from the stage of ideation to the end of its market Life delivered on November 02, 2011.
6. Prof. Indrajeet Dube (Dean, RGSOIPL) has given lecture to students entrepreneurs of IIT Kharagpur on
Role of Corporate Governance for Startup on October 20, 2011.
7. Mr. Aloke Nath International mentor and IIT Kharagpur alumni (Batch 1977) visited the school on
March 29-30, 2012 and interacted with student entrepreneurs, regarding their ongoing projects and
shared his own entrepreneurial journey.
8. Prof. Paul Lillrank from Alto University (Finland) visited STEP on January 21, 2012. He has given lecture

on Quality for Entrepreneurial Ventures.

9. Prof. Mari Suoranta from University of Jyvaskyla (Finland) visited STEP on March 19, 2012. She has
given lecture on Marketing Management.

PRISM Awareness Camp

On the 29th day of March 2014, a PRISM Awareness Camp was held at STEP, IIT Kharagpur. Around 50
(fifty) innovators attended the meeting including professors of various department of IIT Kharagpur.
Prof. Indranil Sen Gupta, PI of the project, discussed in details about the project and attended to all the
queries made by the Innovators. Prof. Indranil Sen Gupta asked innovators to submit PRISM Proposals in
a large numbers as Tepp Outreach & Cluster Innovation Centre (TOCIC), IIT Kharagpur will be happy to
help the innovators in all respect.

PRISM SYMPOSIUM cum WORKSHOP

On the 7th day of July 2014, a PRISM Symposium cum Workshop was held at the Department of
Biotechnology, IIT Kharagpur. Around 83 (eithty three) innovators attended the meeting including DSIR
officias, Industrial Experts, professors of various department of IIT Kharagpur, students and Research
Scholars. Prof. Indranil Sen Gupta, PI of the project, discussed the project in details and attended to all
the queries made by the Innovators. Prof. Indranil Sen Gupta asked the innovators to submit PRISM
Proposals in a large numbers to Tepp Outreach & Cluster Innovation Centre (TOCIC), IIT Kharagpur.

Prof. Paul Lillrank (Aalto University, Finland) visited STEP, IIT Kharagpur in the month of January, 2014
and delivered lectures on Quality Management for Entrepreneurial ventures.
