PEEK POLIMER FOR GEAR PUMP – BUSHING - WASHER

PEEK replaces metals and other materials in

an array of components used in pumps for the industrial,
chemical and processing industries.
With its outstanding mechanical properties, chemical
resistance and excellent processability, PEEK
is able to withstand extreme pressures and continuous
temperatures of up to 500°F (260°C), delivering
enhanced performance that results in longer service
life and reduced down time. ARGO’S internally geared pumps benefit

G-rotor pumps, PEEK delivers a significant resistance, the polymer provides a minimum service
reduction in wear, reduced noise levels and more life of 30,000 hours, a noise level that is 10 dB lower at
consistent running properties. In vacuum pump applications, maximum operating speed, and new opportunities for
PEEK can also improve operating the rotor in lubrication pumps used in automotive engines
efficiency and result in significant noise and transmission systems. Injection molded as a finished

roundness, flatness and close tolerance geometry.
BENEFITS Key property profile:
• Dimensional and thermal stability
• Outstanding wear resistance and low noise generation
• High performance tribological properties
• Broad chemical resistance at elevated temperatures
• Hydrolysis resistance
• High quality straight-from-mold surface finish
• Self-lubricating properties
• Extended service-life
• Reduced downtime and costs
• Low moisture content PEEK Polymer Bushing and Thrust Washers
• Noise reduction
Corrosion resistance to the marine environtment is the major reason we recommend
using PEEK, when bearings and thrust washer made with bronze the galvanic
corrosion can be very severe, another reason is its excellent dry running capabilities,
the problem with bronze bearing and thrust washer is they can’t run dry, the result is
premature wear and reduced service life. PEEK-mod requires no external lubrication,
wear properies are excellent and service life is approximately 10 years.
Many of bearings and thrust washer are large up to 18-20 inch in diameter, PEEK
polymer significantly reduces the weight, so making them easier to handle because the
components have to be inserted into large metal housings.
The ability to carry heavy loads is another important requirement, the bearings and
thrust washers in these system must be able to carry loads ranging from 25000-50000
psi, PEEK polymer has excellent load bearing capabilities and wont wear quickly, it is a
