Composition number two.

Milton Martins dos Santos

Teacher Bruno.

Should we allow modern buildings to be built next to older buildings in a historic area of a
city?
Firstly, we need to consider which older buildings are a drive to inspiration for modern
buildings. Consequently, the young architects learn with the master of the past and your work
of art. In my opinion the modern buildings are an evolution of old buildings, the technology
allows new forms, materials and greater sustainability, but the basis of architecture and
calculations do not change, and the beauty of the old building, combine well with everything
new that there is.
Secondly, we live in a time of appreciation of classic style, unique, and enhancement of
fashionable, rather conventional, another argument for the coexistence of the two models,
primarily in a historic area of a city.
Admittedly , we have opposing views, who believes that the models cannot coexist, though,
and this is very important, it must be considered that the old today, was modern yesterday,
and what will be done with modernity that no longer exist?
For all that, we must remember that modernity is temporary, respect the legacy left to us,
learn from it, and produce our work is a continuity that ensures the development of buildings
and architecture. In addition, I believe that the old and modern buildings can and should
divide the city spaces, as they complement each other, since their maintenance is adequate
and the devices are functional, landscapes only win with the mix of architectural styles.
