TOURIST PLACES OF SONA DISTRICT

Problems and Objectives:


District of Sona is one of the most visited places in Veraguas so
students for Centro Bsico General Miguel Alba need to know
what are the most beautiful places for visiting in their district.
This lesson is intended to 6 hours classes in which students
create an online magazine in order to include tourist places in
Sona. The students will develop in face to face session and
asynchronous way, too.
Audience:
Eight graders students at Centro Bsico General Miguel Alba are
able to use technological features but Some students could
have problems by using computers because they do not have.
However, professor brings a computer for those do not have.
Learning, Environment and delivery:
The environment is the classroom; internet access is available
for research.
In addition, teacher provides a complete list of websites and
sources that contributes to perform and achieve the objective.

DESIGN

Learning objective: To Publish an online magazine by using


Issuu.
Content: Tourist places in District of Sona, and superlative
adjective.

Session 1 ( face to face session)
Objective
To determine what are the most important tourist
places in their district.
Activities
-prediction session
-building vocabulary using padle

Objective
To classify the types of Tourist places in Panama based
on the reading.
Activities
-read a short text about types of tourism and places
-classification the tourism places in Panama.
-create a concept map using popplet.com based on the
reading

Session 3
Objective
To post comments and photos of Veraguas in Facebook
account.
Activities
-take some pictures and add an oral description of the
photo related with tourist places from their province.
-post on the Facebook account
-invite other people to post comment in English using
adjective and respectful language

Session 4
Objective
To publish your word document in an online magazine
using issuu.
Activities
Compile the entire picture from your classmates.
Think in a name for the magazine
Add important information about the location, tourist
sites, hotels and transportation.
Use the key vocabulary and superlative adjective form
the lessons.
