From your research into video installation, give two examples that you think influence your work / ideas
in some way.
One should be a past practitioner, the other should be contemporary.

Sound design
What sound will your FMP / Productions have?
My FMP wont have any sound as it is a magazine, however other aspects of my installation will include
sound. Additionally, when it comes to the other pieces that I am exhibiting (music video, animation, live
show and my radio show), there will be music from the music videon animation and live show; then
speech from the live show and radio drama.
Why?
So that it is easier for people to concentrate solely on that piece of work instead of being distracted by
all the other things happening in the installation space. Additionally it means that my installation wont
be intrusive to other peoples areas of work.
Lighting design
What lighting will you have in your installation? Consider health and safety.
I will mainly be using the light within the main installation space (i.e. hall), so that I have more time to
concentrate on the design of my exhibition and its content rather than setting up needless additional
lighting arrangements. In terms of health and safety I will only be using the lighting supplied in the Red
Lion Regatta Room, rather than any additional lighting for my exhibition table so there will be no
problems.

Projection vs screen
Will you project your video or play it on a screen?
Originally I was going to project my final studio production onto a cardboard box to fit with the recycling
theme of my installation, however due to a lack of resources I will only be using computer screens to
show my work.

Technological convergence
What is technological convergence?
Technological convergence is when separate pieces of technology come together to present or produce
something with one another. For example, when installation artist Alan Kaprow produced his
Environmental pieces, he used video, painting and other artistic mediums to produce an overall
interactive experience.

Production schedule
Complete the production schedule for your FMP. Complete one for each day of filming.
Copyright issues
What potential copyright issues could your FMP infringe?
There could potentially be issues with the films and books that I used to review, however all comments
on them were positive so I dont think their creators would be upset. Additionally there could be a
problem with the advertisements that I made as I didnt ask for permission before creating them,
however again, because the adverts will also be reaching everyone who goes to the exhibition so the
products will be being advertised there.
How can you be certain that your work does not violate any copyright infringements?
It coule potentially violate copyright infringements however as I have used the products etc for
educational pruposes, I think that legal-wise, everything should be fine.
