Close distributor and put Mechanical lock on Turbine servo-motor.

Keep MIV in Closed Position.
Put Mechanical Lock in MIV.
Apply maintenace seal in MIV .
Ensure padlock for OPU and oil system by electricaly and mechanicaly.
Ensure closing the MIV Body Drain.
Ensure closing the MIV Bypass manual and Hydraullic valves.
Ensure closing All manual valves of the Tappings taken from Penstock in all Units.
Ensure Closing of Penstock Drain Valve.
Ensure water filled from Downstream Side up to Tailrace level
Ensure all Draft Tube stop logs are OPEN.
Ensure Closing of Spiral Case Drain valve.
Ensure Closing of Hydro Ejector manual and Motorised valve.
Air vent valve to be open
DURING AND AFTER WATER FILLING OF PENSTOCK
Ensure no leakage from the Penstock drain valve and MIV bypass manual valve,
Ensure no leakage from the false-Joint coupling.
Ensure no leakage through all prussure tap pipe and other water pipe which are connected with penstock.
After fill up close air vent valve of MIV
Ensure Bulge effect or expantion of pensock. Reading and compare with design parameters.
Ensure no leakage through all prussure tap pipe and other water pipe which are connected with penstock.
Open intake gate.
