CONTENT SUMMARY: in your summary include answers to the following
1. Why did Stalin insist that the rate or industrialization couldnt be slowed?
2. How was the rate of industrialization to be supported?
3. What was Stalins idea of the fatherland? Why was it important?
Stalin is saying Russia has to move forward and improve and unite to be stronger.
Industrilization is needed for weapons to develop and to succeed in wars. Stalin hated anyone
who did not have similar views. When he took over, he killed anyone who went against his
believes.
RESPONSE/REACTION TO THE TEXT:
Stalin does not tolerate collieality and traitors die just like in Great Fear in France. Stalin always
uses the phrase, enemy of the people when he is refereeing to anyone who opposes his views.
Example is Comrade Eikhe ho got arrested and tortured and died two days latter. Stalins method
is that of absolutism and dictatorship.
