Dear Dr. Klein,
It continues to be a wonderful opportunity to serve as a mentor for Kristin Weber. Prior to
this experience, I had the great privilege of working with her on various School
Improvement implementation requirements, and am excited to be part of facilitating her
leadership growth from the perspective of an elementary building principal.
During this first year of her internship, she has shown initiative to seek out opportunities to
gain an awareness of school-based initiatives and staff collaboration. She has attended
staff meetings, School Improvement Leadership Team meetings, and attended a site visit
we hosted at Longacre for educators from across the State to share our LEADER IN ME
experience and progress. Her schedule has required her to balance her own responsibilities
along with taking first steps to implement her goals toward her own leadership development
and I feel she is well on her way to achieving them.
We are both looking forward to continuing our work together once the students are
dismissed for the summer, and planning for more opportunities to enhance her leadership as
the new school year begins.
