Without it, a learner may not feel engaged and thus lose motivation. Diversity and inclusion are intentional behaviors and feeling connected is important for learners. Knowing our instructors are paying attention to us helps us pay attention to them. Encouraging acceptance of all learners builds trust, value, and esteem.
