C3.4.5 Analyze the various levels and responsibilities of courts in the federal
and state judicial system and explain the relationships among them.

Instructions: Welcome to Week 14 of the online U.S. Government course! Please complete the
following activities for this week. Make sure that you complete each activity by the time it is
due. Due dates are located at the end of each activity listed below.
(1) Complete Week 14 Pre-Test. Read Chapter 24 Sections 1 & 2 (pages 684 696).
Create a new document with your Google Drive account and title it Your Name
Week 14 Activities. On this new document you will type out each of the Key Terms
and Concepts for Sections 1 & 2, as well as their definitions. Make sure to label this
section Ch. 24 Vocabulary Terms: Secs 1 & 2. Complete this activity by 11:59pm
Monday of Week 14.
(2) Read Chapter 24 Sections 3 & 4 (pages 697 710). In your "Week 14 Activities
document, type out each of the Key Terms and Concepts for Sections 3 & 4, as well
as their definitions. Make sure to label this section Ch. 24: Vocabulary Terms: Sec.s
3 & 4. Complete this activity by 11:59pm Tuesday of Week 14.
(3) Read Chapter 26 Sections 1 & 2 (pages 752 764). In your "Week 14 Activities
document, type out each of the Key Terms and Concepts for Sections 1 & 2, as well
as their definitions. Make sure to label this section Ch. 26: Vocabulary Terms: Sec.s
1 & 2. Create a new blog post and title it State and Local Government. Visit the
State and Local Government Website and search for your state government offices
and officials. Complete this activity by 11:59pm Wednesday of Week 14.
(4) Read Chapter 26 Section 3 (pages 765 768). In your "Week 14 Activities
document, type out each of the Key Terms and Concepts for Section 3, as well as their
definitions. Make sure to label this section Ch. 26: Vocabulary Terms: Sec 3.
Continue to work on your blog assignment from yesterday. Complete this activity by
11:59pm Thursday of Week 14.

(5) Finish your blog post assignment. Discussion Blog and answer the questions for
Week 14. Review your Week 14 Google Drive document. Complete the Week 14
Post-Test. Complete this activity by 11:59pm Friday of Week 14.
