Philosophy

My passion for ministry revolves around the family. I believe being a parent is the
most important and difficult job anyone can have. Providing a spiritual foundation
for our children is crucial and is the parents responsibility. Unfortunately most
parents today feel ill equipped for this awesome task. My joy is found in providing
parents with the support, tools and skill for tackling this most important ministry.

Personal
Summary

I was born the oldest of four children on October 11, 1979 in Amarillo,
Texas. My grandfather was a southern Baptist minister and I was raised in the
Baptist church.
Being raised in a Christian home, I do not have a moment of conversion. I
cant remember a time when I did not know Christ. Like most teenagers and
college students, there were periods of questioning and seeking further answers.
However, I always felt there was sufficient evidence to support my faith. My call
to ministry occurred when I became a mother. I knew the awesome responsibility
of providing a spiritual foundation for my children fell to my husband and me, but
I felt ill prepared to manage this. I now seek to help other parents in this same
position.
I became happily married to Casey Wise from Ulysses, Kansas on July 7,
2001. We met while we were both attending West Texas University. We have
been blessed with two wonderful children who are the light of our lives: Michael,
born June 7, 2006 and Abigail, born April 23, 2009. Both Casey and I work for the
local public school district. I teach 7th grade English, while he runs the technology
department.
My hobbies and interest include reading, digital scrapbooking, playing
with my children and spending time together as a family.

Writing curriculum for Family Faith: Providing a Foundation of Discipleship

CoLeading (with my husband) a month long Sunday School class with this
curriculum and later a follow up semester-long small group focused on
implementation and accountability

Leading Praise and Play Sunday School classes ranging in ages 2 years old
through Kindergarten. (7 years)

CoDirector for Vacation Bible School including planning and writing of

curriculum, organization of volunteers and implementing during week long

Leading Kindergarten AWANAs scripture memorization classes (5 years)

Plan and lead Childrens Church classes for children in 1st through 4th grades (3

Working monthly with our church ministers to create a multigenerational

sermon supplement for all ages to be used throughout the week.
