(Non-insulated) powered by motor operator was tested
by SIRIM (Malaysia) Berhad and advised by BRANZ
(Building Research Association of New Zealand) and
successfully benchmarked against the British Standard
BS476:Part22:1987 which is equivalent to the Malaysian
Standard (MS1073:Part3:1996) that is approved by
BOMBA Malaysia.
Star Rollings Fire Resistant Roller Shutter is the
excellent choice for building compartmentalization to
fulfill the requirement of fire fighting design.

The general requirement for the mounting
wall must comply with the relevant fire
fighting standards in order to comply with the
relevant fire fighting compartmentalization
requirements. Mounting points of the roller
shutter
are
recommended
to
be
stiffener-reinforced concrete.

It is imperative for the mounting points and
surroundings to be free of obstruction, such as
piping, wiring, ducting, and other possible
building construction.
Oversized Roller Shutter Delivery
Oversized roller shutters are recommended to
be scheduled for delivery to construction site
prior to erection of space restricting interior
partition and wall.

Depending on the roller shutter specification, Star
Rolling will recommend a suitable capacity of roller
shutter motor (220v: 60Hz: 1Phase or 415v: 60Hz:
3Phase, Insulation Class E). All motor operators
recommended shall have:
- Manual override chain
- Auto-heat-cutoff thermo system
- Button switch encased in protected key box
- Mechanical gravity closing device
- Closure or opening trigger relay
To provide DC24V Relay connected to the
building fire-fighting system to trigger the
closure or opening of the shutter in the event of
fire. (The connection and commisioning of the
system shall be done by the fire-fighting
specialist).
- The applicable power supply must be provided
and located near the roller shutter motor
postion.

Optional Accessories
- Heat-sensitive Mechanical Closure Device
Heat-sensitive mechanical device to trigger the
closure of the shutter when the surrounding
temperature reaches between 60c-70c. This
device is reusable.
