Personaland educationalBackground
I was a student who fell between the cracks in the education
system
Made it to grade three without being able to read
Had a few teachers that took the time and put forth the effort to help me succeed

I took the General Arts and Science University transfer program at


Humber College
Went to York University, where a graduated with a BA in
Psychology
From there I went back to Humber College, graduating with
Honors from their Child and Youth Work diploma
I am currently completing my Master of Science in EducationElementary Education Program at Medaille College

ProfessionalBackground
While in school for Child and Youth Work, I had the
opportunity to work in:
A middle school, based out of the guidance area
An on unit in-patient, out-patient classroom at The Hospital for Sick
Children
Three day treatment locations with Peel Childrens Centre

For the last six years I have been working fulltime for
the Peel District School Board as an Educational
Resource Facilitator (ERF). I work at Applewood school,
a high school for students with special needs.
