There are many other applications such as Samplitude,

Live, Adobe Audition and Reaper that has the same
goal: producing music in multitrack.

It is known that "all are good!" There's no telling that the

choice of one or another application will determine the
end of a production quality.

Are there sound differences? Yes.

But this difference makes a song is sounding bad in

Sonar will sound good in Pro Tools? No.

Nowadays, what makes a difference is the user. That

means it is not the application itself that will determine
the result, but their relationship with him.

Make the most of your Digital Audio Workstation is the

big difference today. It is a fact increasingly common to
receive written material in a high-level absolutely limited
software such as GarageBand, and while listening to a
lot of bad recorded in elite software like Pro Tools and
Logic Pro.

What happens is that GarageBand user is using the

software to the limit, and doing everything possible and
impossible to increase the quality of their productions.

On the other hand, users who have installed Pro Tools,

Logic Pro and Cubase because they were recommended
as "the best there is" or "the most professional" but did not
have much time (or patience) to devote, are living at war
with these applications, struggling to produce each song,
each track, each measure.

When you realize, it is clear that they are spending more

time fighting than with making music software.

Then the way is to use basic

software?

Well, the way is to use well what you have on hand.

The software that you have the necessary time to
study and learn to deal with it. If you are a busy guy
and only has an hour a day to devote to learning a
software, use the simplicity on your side.

Do not worry about the fact that something be

"professional" or "amateur". The more complex,
more time is needed to master software and less
time you have to devote to it, which is music.
