Salvia coccinea Buchoz ex Etl. y Lantana camara L.
PALABRAS CLAVE ADICIONALES: Flora nativa, diseo de paisaje, plantas ornamentales, criterios de seleccin.

MATERIALES Y MTODOS
A bibliographical study and research in electronic media about studies in taxonomic, floral, environmental and
economic importance of ornamental species, was made.
As well as methodologies and criteria to select ornamental
species, in order to define the general criteria for the research of places to collect samples and the first selection
of species to compile.

y Zongolica.

Finally, it is considered necessary to make a bigger collection of species in natural environments within the state
of Veracruz and even in other parts of the country, in order
to identify wild and native flora with ornamental potential for
different agroecological conditions. Especially for those that
encourage a certain amount of wild fauna (butterflies, hummingbirds). It is also important to determine the environmental part of the native flora and the wild fauna in contrast with
exotic flora, because the last one mentioned could have a
low or null effect in attracting and encouraging wild fauna.
